“money grab restaurant for tourists”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2014

We had our first dinner in Istanbul here. I didn't know the price level for the area on the first day so we ate here as it is crowded so I assumed it would be ok.

The food itself was fine, nothing wrong. But it cost more than 60 TL per person for a 2 course meal without drink. overpriced. (obviously it's aiming at tourists who didn't know what's going on)

“Worst restaurant in Turkey”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014 via mobile

Ok so the title might be extreme but it's the worst I have been to over several visits to Turkey. The food quality is extremely poor and overpriced and they seem to be embarrassed to serve alcohol. We ate nearby at excellent quality and service for same price. You would need to be really desperate to eat here and I certainly wouldn't again.

“Yes and No”

Prices are high, but then it is conveniently located in the high rent area. My Han(lamb) casserole was delicious. My wife had a Cesar salad that was bland. It was OK, but we had probably try somewhere else next time.

Nice place in a central location. Ok service, ok food, women making filled pancakes on show. Price ok for the touristy centre.

“What a Way to ruin our night...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

Staying at a hotel 100 m from the restaurant we have passed many times in front before finally choosing a night to have diner there.

I Didn't read TP reviews before going

I don't usually post bad comments but people need to know what to expect when they get in. It's the typical tourist trap with its traditional decoration.

Place seems lovely from the outside and we had to wait a couple of minutes to sit HOWEVER from the time we sat there was a bad feeling in the air:
1- The "traditional" cushions on the ground were far from comfortable to relax and enjoy diner.
2- Seeing the lady at the entrance making turkish "pancakes" on a traditional oven we decided to order some. Reply from waiter: "not possible lady finished" - She kept on making them for the next 30 min...
3- Orders were taken and after 10 minutes waiter comes and says "sorry don't have". Happened to the 2 couples on next table - they left.
4- Waiters are extremely rude and unfriendly And never listen to you. (At one point I had the waiter literally on me trying to explain something on the menu to the couple at the next table .)
5- The place is extremely overpriced (ended up paying 55$ each for a 2 soups 1 baked potato , 2 soft drinks and a shared main dish)....shocking..
6- We asked 3 times for the bill (took them 20 minutes) - same thing happened to 2 tables near us...

Highly recommend avoiding...
