“Great hotel”
Reviewed February 19, 2013 via mobile

Great hotel! The room was lush and location was fab, just off Istiklal street (bars, rest, shopping district). You can also walk over the fav galata bridge to the old town too. Blue mosque grand bazaar etc.. Or tram/tax.
Hotel breakfast was very average, the spa was good, but no therapist on site at the time.
Staff was very helpful/ friendly ESP the bellboy Sedat and Kadir.
Only draw back was the noise at night, ask for a high level room.
Overall highly recommend!

The hotel is pretty nice and the rooms are adequate. The thing that makes this hotel so nice is the location. It's about 2 blocks from Istiklal street, where all the action is. Lots of pubs and places to eat on the side streets. The streets are all cobblestone and idea for walking. The British pub on the ground floor is a nice addition. Only about a 15 minute taxi ride from the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. If you're staying in Istanbul, this is where you want to be.
The streets can get quite noisy. I suggest a high floor and staying on the right side (if facing the front). I don't remember his name, but the head bellman (short bald guy) is the most helpful employee in the establishment and speaks the best English. I recommend giving him a good tip at the beginning of your stay, as he will help you find whatever you need (dining, power converter, atm, etc) He really made my trip more enjoyable.

Room Tip: Make friends with the head bellman. he will make your life much easier.

Stayed here for a few nights in October on business. The location is great, perfect for where I needed to be. Decor in the rooms is OK and nice enough, though there were a lot of stains on my bedroom carpet in several places which were clearly not going to come out with cleaning. The room was a decent size though the bed was 2 singles pushed together with a sheet on top to keep them together and the mattresses were ridiculously hard - probably the hardest mattress of anywhere I've ever stayed!

In the bathroom - shower was really good and powerful, but the ventilation was pretty much non-existent and as soon as the bathroom got steamed up, there was a really powerful musty smell which then filled the bedroom.

The main problem with this hotel was the staff though - in several areas. One early evening I was in the room and within the space of an hour 3 different maids walked in (2 without knocking, one did but not giving me enough time to answer before barging in) to do "room check". Why so many room checks?? At breakfast (which was good, nice selection) the two waiters were chatting to each other and totally ignoring the very few customers in there, I had to interrupt them to ask for coffee every day. Lastly, it took me almost 25 minutes to check out because the sole receptionist kept taking phonecalls and chatting to staff going past etc, though I had said after about 10 minutes that I was in a rush. I originally made the reservations for myself plus a colleague but we'd both given our separate cards at check-in - the hotel charged me for both of us but didn't tell me they were going to do so! I didn't realise at first and thought they had double charged me so phoned when I was back at home and they were meant to check with accounting and get back to me. I chased twice and never heard back (and then worked it out).

Unless I had to, I would never go back and stay here.

Stayed in this hotel for my business trip. this hotel looks like a boutique hotel but I am not sure about how many stars it is. The hotel is at a very good location i.e at one end of Istiklal street opp the taksim end.
its a small hotel with 4 floors and 2 member staff in the hotel at any point of time. The furniture in the rooms and entrance etc gives hotel a boutique look. The breakfast spread is not that great although they can get you egg as you like.

Overall this hotel offers good value. There is no gym in the hotel though....

Room Tip: All rooms open on one of the internal or external streets so no point of any tip here...

Came to this hotel for business with some colleges. Awsome location, but what really made this stay out standing that i had to write a review was the assistance and service i recived from hotel staff. Especially from the front desk and a bell boy named SEDAT who ended up turning a bussiness trip into a vacation with smart and simple ways to see istanbul in the shortest Amount of time, he also gave me great advise on istanbuls transit system and saved me so much time on the road by describing how to switch from the metro to the tunnel and then to the light rail system that i was able to see the grand bazzar and the aya sophia within a couple hours

Thank you very much and i hope to come here next time with my family

we stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. It's nicely situated in Beyoglu near Taksim. The overall impression is good, although we have some remarks. We booked the hotel via internet, on the site the hotel was praised for it's fantastic terrace on the topfloor, overlooking the golden horn. This was one of the reason we booked it for. At arrival the terrace was closed due to construction.
We ordered a room on one of the toplevels. We got a room on the first floor, above a noise bar and a construction site. At that time the restaurant of the hotel and some other groundfloor rooms were under construction. If we had known this before we would have booked another hotel.
The management was friendly, they gave us a smaller room on the 6-th floor, less noisy but with a bad airco, so we slept in a hot room with open windows and mosquitos.
Breakfast was rich and various. Cappucino and espresso available but higher priced than starbucks...

Room Tip: rooms on the first floor are high but on the street side very noise. Topfloor rooms are more quiet b...
