Reviewed March 12, 2014 via mobile

i stayed here in late feb 2014. the place is hard to find, scary on the outside, but nice inside.
a 30-minute walk from Taksim square, it is located near the huge Cevahir mall. there is a variety of cafes and shops around, but the area itself is too far from pleasant.

hotel has a nice design, the lobby is comfortable and wi fi available there and in rooms also.

i stayed in a twin. rooms are good enough with all basics provided.
breakfast was fine, a nice selection of food and some turkish tea, which is so strong that it pops your eyes out. it is better with some helva though.

too bad that the staff hardly speaks any english ((

The rooms in this hotel were wonderful. I loved the shower and bathroom and the beds were comfortable. They also kept the rooms clean. The included breakfast was also pretty good although it did get pretty boring after almost a week there but it did have a nice selection. It is on the opposite side of all the main attractions and if you are there for a conference it is still a 30 minute walk to the Congress Center and taxis are not a great option due to traffic. The hotel staff doesn't speak English at all which makes it a problem to get everything from change to understanding there is a problem with the deposit. For an international hotel they really need to have at least one reception staff person that speaks decent English. Overall my staff was nice but it would have been better if I didn't have as many difficulties with the service due to language issues.

A. +ves:
1. Decent budget hotel
2. Close to Cevahir mall
3. Dynamic Hotel Manager (Yasir)
4. Breakfast variety
5. Good for 2-3 day stays

B. -ves:
5. At times rude staff
6. Slow internet
7. Small rooms & lighting

Would still go back and stay at least one more time, given the -ves can be managed to ensure the experience is much better.

Room Tip: Try and ask for the rooms closer to the lift versus the ones in the corners for better internet spee...

Just beware as they charge you for tea bags (4TL) and instant coffee sachets in your room - even though they are not on the mini bar price list - and they don't tell you! Other mini bar prices are also a bit outrageous (9 Euros for a small whisky).
The rooms now smell of stale cigarette smoke - they really should designate some of them non smoking. Also the carpets need a good clean - they are quite stained.
The laundry charges are also very high - if you are staying for a long time - rather bring everything you need with as they have no self service laundry facilities.
In terms of getting into Istanbul, we found the best route was: take the free hospital shuttle bus into Suadiye'ye. Ask to be dropped off at Bostanci train station. Catch the Gebze line train to Haydarpasa. At Hadarpasa, catch the ferry to Eminonu. On the way back, just reverse the journey, but take the Gebze train from Haydarpasa all the way to the 2nd last stop at Fatih (i.e. skip the shuttle). At Fatih, a taxi will cost 10 TL or you can walk up (30mins).

Else, all else is still pretty good with the hotel - the staff are friendly, the rooms are large etc.

This hotel is attached to the hospital. Lovely hotel – rooms are large with kitchenette (microwave, 2 plate stove top, kettle). (Note: no cooking utensils provided). It has a tv and dvd player and free wireless internet. Beds are comfy and rooms are serviced daily. The staff are very friendly and helpful. (Note They have a business hotel on the Asian side which also has the same name, so when you do searches the Business one comes up).
This hotel is not near anything except or course the hospital! It also does not have a pool or gym. There is a small shop up at the hospital, which has only a limited selection of things. There is also a hairdresser and pharmacy up at the hospital. You can eat at the hotel, but it’s menu is limited and a bit pricey (5TL for a diet coke). It’s better to eat at the canteen at the actual hospital. Although it serves limited choice of meals, the food is generally tasty and reasonably priced. You can get a soup, main course with salad/rice and dessert for about TL12. Also – buy your soft drinks from there or the vending machines – 2TL versus 5TL at the hotel.
There is a free shuttle bus every hour from the hospital to the Asian side (and back) of Istanbul. It is a great street for shopping and wandering around– it has most of the brand name shops. Buses run from 09H30 to 16H30. To get into Istanbul (the main tourist spot) is a bit of a trek, so if you were planning on seeing some sites in Istanbul, perhaps it is better to stay somewhere else.
I repeat - the hotel is not near anything (except of course the hospital), so is quite secluded and can get a bit boring, especially if you thought you may do a bit of sightseeing.
