It 'a small hotel, located behind the Blue Mosque, in a nice residential neighborhood, which is overlooked by elegant buildings, clubs and shops. It has small rooms but perfectly functional and tastefully decorated. Ours was clean and fragrant, with a beautiful new shower and tidied every day so meticulous, with change of linen and towels. Included in the price was also breakfast of biscuits, tea, coffee, mainly Turkish, then with savory and fried and honey, but excellent. The staff was always courteous and helpful.

Perfect location, walking distance to the main attractions in Istanbul and surrounded by shops, bazaars and restaurants. Helpful staff, always ready to give explanations about how to get to several places.

Room Tip: Choose ground floor room, since there's no lift in the hotel.

We stayed in many hotels over a two month Europe trip, and the Hotel Novano was easily our favorite. You will not regret booking here.

The hotel is in an excellent location, and you can walk to any of the main old city sights and the Sultanhamet tram stop. It is a less than 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and is next to an extremely friendly small supermarket. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and the wifi/air conditioning worked flawlessly.

However, what really set this hotel apart was the quality of service. From the breakfast staff to the front desk, you truly felt appreciated and cared for. The staff helped us recover a lost camera, find a voltage adaptor, and helped book airport transfers and tours.

My wife and I absolutely loved this hotel. Even with an unlimited budget, we would stay here. Highly HIGHLY recommended.

The manager offered a very reasonable price with breakfast. The room is cleaned every day and the patterns of the wall and the drawers were unique. Blue mosque and other good sightseeing places are very easy to access.

The manager and other staff were very helpful and kind. We especially liked the security(every where you can check out cameras so you do not have to worry about your belongings) and it was quiet day and night. We really enjoyed staying there and we will stay again when we visit Istanbul.

We fell in love with this small hotel in Sultanahmet area! The hotel is very clean, our room was so clean that it's unbelievable that somebody else stayed here before us. The breakfast was good as well. Some fruits, vegetables, ham, eggs, etc. The area is just great. Getting to Sultanahmet You will find yourself in the fairy tail about Aladdin. Our window overlooked an ancient wall - but the matter was how the hotel manager presented this fact - "so yes, he said, you'll get a room that overlooks a wall. But what kind of wall? Ancient one! Millions of people from all over the world would be happy to come to have a look at it!". The hotel manager's name is Enver and he seems to be the soul of this hotel. Always smiling, welcoming you, it seemed that we are just old friends that met after long separation.

8 of us stayed at the Novano Hotel in Istanbul from 30th Sept till 5th October. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was also good and plentiful. If the hotel had a lounge for guests, I would have given it full marks. A good time was had by all.

This hotel, situated right in the heart of Sultanahmet, Istanbul, is right where you want to be. An excellently run, privately owned hotel, with small but comfortable rooms and very quiet. Not much more than a four or five minute walk to The Blue Mosque and a only few more paces from Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Yerebaton Cistern. All the main tourist sights, in fact. The hotel doesn't have a lift so disabled travellers might struggle with the stairs, if you are non-ambulant it is probably worth looking elsewhere - the accommodation is over three or four floors (we were on the third - might be another floor above). This a small, boutique hotel, recently refurbished, (converted from a house in fact). The restaurants and bars begin next door and completely surround the hotel so you won't need to walk too far for a meal and a beer or two.
Staff were very helpful and the buffet-breakfast was certainly adequate. Full English Breakfast wasn't an option though, but eggs in various styles were, as well as the usual range of "continental-style" fare.
The hotel also has free WiFi, a great benefit, and it's quite fast.
They will arrange transfer from the airport but a taxi ride was actually cheaper, at least for us. Taxi fare is 45 TL.
All in all a good hotel, very well worthwhile considering as first option.

Room Tip: No lifts, so you'll have to climb stairs, no good for wheelchair users. All rooms seemed similar...
