It was a nice located hotel. However, for the people that travel a lot, I am sure that it will be below their usual standards.
It is an old hotel, not very clean (hairs all over the room floor and duvets), with bothering sounds from the train station.
On the other hand, the personnel do their best to help the visitors and it is cheap.

Room Tip: Do not choose the rooms with view to train station.

We stayed here four nights in room 403. Room is same as picture on web site. View from the room is to the train station and it is noisy all the night. Hotel is very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very poor, same every day but we could eat on every corner of Istanbul very quality food. Hotel location is excellent, in my opinion best location in Istanbul. Galata brigde, Haya Sophia, Sultanahmet area, Grand Bazar in walking distance maximum 10min. Overall, I would

My family just returned from three nights at this hotel and had an excellent experience in every way. The staff was outstanding—friendly, courteous, very attentive to any needs and questions, and very generous with candy for my daughter. The room (201) was spacious and very comfortable, with excellent beds and showers. Everything was very clean, well-maintained, and as presented in the photographs. Numerous options were available at breakfast, and my wife and daughter especially enjoyed the bread served at the tables. The location was ideal, a quick walk to the Archaeological Institute, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc., or to either of two tram stops on the T1 line. No problems with the hotel-arranged airport shuttle despite our flight arrival at 1 a.m.! I have stayed at two other hotels in Istanbul and numerous others elsewhere in Turkey at various price points, and this hotel is clearly my favorite for the overall experience.

We stayed here two nights in room 201 and would definitely come back. The price was amazing and the room was spotless. The room is just as pictured on their website. We had a total of four people and were very comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful with directions of places to go and see. You can walk to many places such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, The Grand Bazaar and The Egyptian (Spice) Market. Breakfast was also included as well as free wireless. Another plus is that the tram stop is right around the corner.

We have spent 4 wonderful nights in this cozy hotel. Most of all, we enjoyed very friendly and utmost helpful staff of the hotel. Every member of staff showed their proficiency in providing any advice and demonstrated deep knowledge about any issue. Our room was very comfortable, large and very well preserved. The room contained the set for tea, coffee, minibar and safe box. The hotel was very comfortably located, not far from tram station, easy to reach to any historic sites, such as Sultanahmet, Bosphorus. Big choice of food during breakfast, very pleasant service. Actually, this created the great atmosphere as being at home. Highly recommended!

If it wasn't for the excellent hotel staff and management, I would rate this lower. Photos on hotel website look fantastic, but actual quality is low - old furnishings.

Hotel is quite noisy, due to elevator humming and doors slamming in the small hallways, and no insulation in walls and ceilings. Room 403 is best, as there's an outdoor patio above, so you won't have people above your room making noise as they walk around.

Location is good - short walk to tram stop. 10 min walk up the hill to the Hagia Sofia museum and Blue Mosque. Good English pub across from the tram stop. Going the other direction, it's a 10 min walk to the ferries to cross the Bosphorous, and Galata Bridge. 10 min to Spice Market, 15 min walk to Grand Bazaar.

Free breakfast offers a small selection, but reasonable.

Do not eat at the restaurant next door! They're heavy on the self-promotion, but the food is terrible. You'll notice it's all tourists eating there - eat somewhere else, where locals also eat.

Honeymoon package is a good offer. Free tranfer to/from airport, nice fruit plate, and small bottle of wine.

Room Tip: Pick room 403
