“Friendly and traditional”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012 via mobile

The waiter who speaks Greek was perfect. The Greek coffee and the lukum perfect too. But the best was the beautiful covers of the tables! Very traditional. Certainly a "must" in Konstantinople!

“Just For A Short Rest”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2011

This small coffee house, situated inside the Grand Bazaar, is a great place for a short rest as the atmosphere of the bazaar itself, with all the noise and lights and the crowd is quite tyring. I don't recommend this place to eat tough they serve toast and some pastry as the essence of this quite old place is coffee and other refreshments. In winter time, I especially recommend to drink "sahlep" to warm you up . As it's one of the few decent places to drink in the bazaar, the prices are higher than the normal levels. The service is extremely quick as they expect you to have a short rest, drink and leave: it's definitely not a place to have a long dining experience... but it's great for a short break....
