“Istanbul with Erkan & Ibo”
Reviewed April 9, 2014

I spent 3 days with 2 of Arif Yasa Private Tours guides - Erkan and Ibo and they really made my trip to Istanbul fantastic. The were very punctual, very knowledgeable and we became very good friends. I saw all the famous sites in Istanbul and walked for miles, enjoyed the boat cruises on the Bosphorus, ate beautiful seafood, walked in the bazaars, ate baklava, drank coffee and pomegranate juice and visited the most beautiful mosques and historical buildings in and around Istanbul. Thank you guys - I would recommend you any day!

“We Really Saw Istanbul”
Reviewed March 15, 2014

We spent two days with Arif in Istanbul and really saw the city which we could never have done by ourselves. We really had a learning experience and would like to thank him for our two great days. Arif met us at our hotel each morning. We did a mixture of the planned tours - Walking Istanbul in Two Continents and the Imperial Heritage Tour. We saw all the main sites as well as lots of Istanbul a tourist would never know about or see and it was the stories and explanations behind it all that we found very interesting - things like wandering the old alleys and halls of the old Ottoman Inns, which roof to go up on for the best view, where to stop for the best snacks, other ways to get to things when it was crowded etc. We were very pleased that we decided to explore Istanbul this way for our first visit and would highly recommend Arif to show you around.

“Amazing private tour in Istanbul”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

A big thank you to Erkan for showing us beautiful Istanbul in 2 fantastic days. We did 1 day of the 'Istanbul Heritage' tour which included visits to all the major sights, and another day of 'Customs & Traditions' tour which included walks in bazaars and local shops, nice breaks for Turkish coffee and tasty Turkish snacks, and a relaxing ferry crossing to the Asian shore.
I think these 2 tours make a great combination as I got to see all the major sights and explore coffee shops and side streets like a local.
Erkan is amazing in every way - he's reliable, professional and knowledgeable in delivering historical facts about the sights. He's also got a great personality and very pleasant to talk to, it really feels like you're exploring the city with a friend.
Thanks for a great time!

“Fantastic time in Istanbul”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

We have just got back from four fantastic days with Arif in Istanbul. We booked transfers as well as a mixture of half days and full day tours. We spent the first afternoon at the Cistern and Archaeological Museum which was just amazing. Our next day was a full day seeing all of the 'famous' sites as well as getting out of the old city and seeing the Chora Church and Old City Walls. Arif was an amazing guide - he was extremely knowledgable and was able to answer every question we had. Our third day was more relaxed - we did our own sight seeing, and then the final day was the Topkapi Palace. Istanbul is a great city to get out and explore - but having Arif as a guide was defiantly worth it to be able to learn the knowledge. Thanks Arif - you were great!!

“Great tour of Istanbul”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

Arif was punctual and very friendly. He took us to most of the main sites in central Istanbul (Sultanhamet district) and explained the history of each site to us. He We asked him about various aspects of Turkish society, past and present, and he was very informative. I think it is a good idea to ask away, as that is how you get the most out of a guide's knowledge. It was very interesting to hear Arif's personal take on things, as that is the difference between just reading a guide book full of facts and actually hearing about a city from a human being.
