“Good Food! Average Service.”

We tried the Kanafeh which is the most amazing Turkish Desert. Served in a hot plate and super sweet! Had it with a Turkish tea. Service although was extremely slow!

“Best Baklava in Istanbul!!”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

Baklava is one of the renowned desserts in Turkey, and if you want to taste the best of it, plan a visit to Hafiz Mustafa in Istiklal (in Taksim) or Sikerci (in Fatih). Try their Kunefe, it's really good. Their service is really good, the place is clean and the staff is friendly. If you want to take some Baklava home, ask the guy filling the boxes to taste the Baklava. They will not hesitate to give a piece of each kind. It is a little expensive (compared to the boxes sold in stores) but it's worth each and every penny.

“Worth a visit for tea and desert”
Reviewed April 22, 2014 via mobile

At the end of a long day, we were walking to the Spice Bazaar and we happened onto this coffee shop by chance. In dire need of refreshments with our two young daughters whining about all the walking, we were lucky to get a table on the first floor. They serve tea, coffee and pastries. No complaints with the food or drinks. But the place was hot, even though we were sitting by the window. Very busy place, but worth a visit.

“Turkish Delight”
Reviewed April 20, 2014 via mobile

We happen to find this lovely cafe and decided to visit twice in three days.

Great choice of sweets and nice drink offers are all we needed after busy days in Istanbul. The cafe is always busy that it might take sometime to make order and served but it is worth while waiting for it.

I especially liked the back ground music of Ottoman Turkey's Army band march!

“Delicious cakes and puddings”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

We went here twice during our visit to Istanbul. My daughter and I were walking along looking at the shops and spotted the puddings in the windows, so popped in for a tea and some little cakes to share. We then went back with my husband and son.

The style of the cafe is very pretty and the items are served in beautiful glassware. You are presented with a catalogue showing all the bakery items, Turkish delight and baklava, with description and prices.

Just make sure you get the right language edition, as the second time we visited, we were given a Turkish language version.

The cakes and puddings are lovely and although not cheap, the portions are HUGE. The cake slices served to my children were at least double a portion you would expect in the UK.

Connected to the cafe is a shop selling Turkish delight and baklava, teas, coffee etc. The Turkish Delight is expensive compared to other shops but the quality is good and they are packaged nicely.

The only negative part of our experience was trying to purchase some baklava to take away when the shop was really busy, we asked two different staff members to serve us but they seemed very distracted and disinterested, in the end we gave up and went elsewhere!
