Totally enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and patient. The location was close to sights or transportation. Breakfast was delicious. And they even packed us a boxed breakfast when we had to leave early for our flight. Would definitely recommend.

I chose this hotel because, during my stay in the popular nearby hotel Sirkeci Konak last time, I had found its appearance so modern and stylish, even more attractive than the traditional Ottoman style of the latter. Tripadvisor travellers' high rating of this hotel corroborated my choice.
In conclusion, the hotel is never bad, absolutely o.k. for a short stay, but has nothing special that deserves to be so highly rated:
1. The room is fairly small, but this is acceptable. Really terrible is the bathroom, when the term can be applied to this tiny space where there is no room for not only a bathtub but also a sink―you have to brush your teeth beside the bed! When you take the shower, which is so near to the toilet, you have to shut "the door," precisely a semitransparent partition wall between this space and the room, so that the toilet is open to the view.
2. The hotel boasts that each room has unique, gorgeous decor in accordance with, e.g. a princess who the room is named after. This looks nice in photos, but in reality is cheap: the princess portrait of our room seemed to be a crude, amateur watercolor painting. The above mentioned partition wall shows a stereotyped harem girls in loud colors. Personally, I think this ruins the atmosphere of the room.
3.Our room was was situated on the 1st. floor alongside a noisy street with tourist restaurants which are open until midnight or even later.
4. The lift was too small and never stopped for us.
For almost the same price, the Sirkeci konak was far better deal―at least the room was spacious, chick and the neighborhood was more quiet.

My family and I stayed for 5 nights and we weren't sorry. Service is perfect, breakfast had a wonderful selection, and the rooms were nicely decorated and new. Location couldn't be better, walking distance from major attractions. Free airport transfer when you arrive. Coffee and tea with some snacks in the afternoon. We were really pampered. I am definetely staying there again in case I go back to Istanbul.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street are bigger. Don't worry is a pedestrian street, no traffic.

It was wonderful to feel welcomed by the Sultania hotel’s staff. A special gratitude to Mr. Süleyman who welcomed us and was always very gentle providing great tips to know the best places in Istanbul as well as for the remaining staff who made us feel so welcomed! A special care in every detail, from the lovely aromas across all areas of the hotel, the cleanliness of the rooms and delicious breakfast, we loved all. The location is suburb; it is on a walking distance to the main Historical Center and served by the metro line which takes us to the remaining attractions in Istanbul, but benefits from being in a pedestrian street which is very nice, especially if you want to start the day having your breakfast in a fresh ambiance.
It definitively made the difference staying at the Sultania hotel as part of our wonderful experience in Istanbul, a special thanks to all the staff!

This was my second visit to Sultania, the first one being on juanuary, and all i have to say is that the hotel is excellent. Location is perfect, dozens of restaurants are nearby and it’s close to the main attractions (10 min walking to Topkapi palace and Aya Sophia) and 5 min away from the tram station. Although it is in an animated street, it’s a quite place & what’s most important is that it’s 100% safe.
The rooms are of standard size and are just beatifully decorated. I loved the sultans theme. The mini bar is reasonably priced and the breakfast is wonderful with a good selection of cheese, fresh fruits, jams, pankackaes and waffles, fresh made pastry, cereals, fresh yogurt, all kinds of hot drinks are available upon request…..and the list goes on. Besides, they had tea time, kind of complementary breakfast everyday.
The staff is very courteous and helpful. I think i found my perfect spot in Istanbul, so without any doubt I’d definitely go back there.

Room Tip: Ask for the corner rooms in the 3rd floor, they're bigger.

We had booked to go to Istanbul for our 25th wedding anniversary and it really was an experience to remember. The reception we got on arrival was 5 star and we were made to feel special the whole time we were there. Helimi spent the best part of an hour talking us throuhg our stay in istanbul and making personal recommendations and giving us invaluable advice. The room and the facilities lived up to the hotel's reputation. Serap, Guest relations officer, was brilliant at foreseeing our needs and making bookings at restaurants and excursions. Sehmi smiled all the way through our holiday. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful. They couldnt do enough for us. The Olive restautant offered us beautiful views and and equally beautiful food coupled with brilliant service and the breakfast in the hotels restaurant in the mornings was enough to feed a small army with a wonderful choice of iems. The omelette chef offered tailor made o melettes delivered to your table. A definate for anyone travelling to Istanbul. I will most certainly be going back nex year.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely. If you can, try to upgrade to the Sultan Deluxe room for somethi ng really...
