Three of us stayed in the apartment building - very clean, modern spacious and comfortable. Breakfast in the hotel each morning was plentiful, a few local dishes to compliment the usual breakfast fare and the staff were very pleasant.

Room Tip: We took pot luck and were could not fault our rooms

Our first room was very small but then we were moved due to a leak from above and the 2nd room was fabulous. Very clean rooms, hot water and very good staff. Breakfast lady was adorable. Close to all the famous sights. Staff very helpful to your needs

Room Tip: Rooms in the second building are bigger

We recently stayed at Q Hotel Istanbul for several nights. Our initial impressions were ok - decent room, clean enough, nice breakfast.

However, we came back from sightseeing one day to find that a bikini we had laid out to dry on a shelf was gone. On further inspection, we found some female panties were missing too!

I initially went to ask reception if there was any reason that personal items would be removed from the room. The receptionist was very dismissive and seemed amused by my complaint, and actually asked us to go away so that he could attend to other guests.

When I went upstairs and my fiancé went to talk to him and asked to speak to the manager the next day, he was much more receptive and said he would talk to housekeeping in the morning and check security footage to see who had been in our room.

The next morning my fiancé advised the hotel that if this matter was not resolved we would probably check out that night. They promptly charged my credit card the full amount for all arranged nights, despite the fact that we had talked to them on the first day and they said we could pay on check out. Given that we had not asked for a discount or anything despite the missing knicker situation, we thought this showed gross disregard for the whole situation and a total lack of goodwill or caring for their guests.

After breakfast, a different receptionist handed us a plastic bag with the missing items and told us that housekeeping had mistaken the items for rubbish and put them in the bin, but had retrieved them in the morning after finding out this was a mistake.

Given that the items removed were good quality items of clothing which were not (a) in or near a rubbish bin or (b) on the floor, we struggled with this explanation. The hotel also apologised and left some fruit in our room. Given that the best case scenario was that my things were in the collective hotel rubbish bin overnight with goodness knows what else, I would have expected at least an offer of a night free or some compensation.

Given this bizarre event and the dismissive approach to my initial complaint, there is no way we would stay here again and I would suggest you don't either if you want to leave with as many pairs of knickers as you arrived with!

This was my first time in Istanbul and I couldn't find a better hotel! It is right behind the blue mosque and aya sophia, so it is right in the center of the city.
The room was very nice, clean and confortable. The people working in the hotel speak english and were very kind in to us when we had a very little problem with our booking. I'm very happy of having chosen this hotel and I recommend it for sure!
We stayed there 4 nights!
P.s. our room had the air conditioning and a super wifi!
