Three of us booked an all-day tour with Mr. Ali to see the major sites in Istanbul, focusing on Chora Church, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Spice Market. As an avid amateur photographer, I was particularly interested in photographing these locations and Ali was very helpful (and patient) with selecting the best locations for photos. We had lunch in a lovely little outdoor cafe next to Chora Church. It was a wonderful day - thanks!

We recently went on a cruise of the Mediterranean with our family and friends. There were 13 of us in all, and we booked day long shore excusion. Sinan, our guide, was very fun and knowledgable. It was the best tour of all the places we went, including tours of Rome, Florence, and Barcelona. We were amazed at the Basilica Cistern, probably our favorite place overall, and there was so much time for us to look around and take our time.
Sinan knew exactly where to take us and all of the answers to our questions. We had a spectaculor lunch at his suggestion and got a really good feel for the kind of foods that Turkish people enjoy. And can we just say, it was DELICIOUS! We made friends with the "city dogs" and even had one join us for a short time as we made our way to Hagia Sophia. We thought it was so wonderful that they were treated so well and given food and water and medicine. Sinan did such a great job at keeping us all together, and with 13 people and 4 over 75 years of age, and even more who are easily distracted, we were very impressed. He walked us through all of the places, gave such a good description of all the sights we visited. We felt we had a good friend among us throughout the day.
We feel that Istanbul was a very enjoyable city, moreso than the big tourist cities like Rome. Our excellent guide, the wonderful people, and the beautiful places made it the highlight of our trip. At the conclusion of the trip, when we went around all 13 of us and asked what our favorite excursion was, we all agreed that Istanbul was the best. Highly recommended tour, you will NOT be disappointed!
We also did a tour in Ephesus provided by the same company, and that was our SECOND favorite place!!

My wife and I joined another couple for a walking tour of the old city. Our guide, Mr. Ali, met us promptly at our hotel, and spoke excellent English. We had informative and very entertaining tours of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and the Byzantine Hippodrome. We pasted on the offered tour of the Spice Market, since we had visited it the day before. Mr. Ali accommodated this with some historical information about the market. An excellent experience overall and one that I would recommend.

We stopped in Istanbul on our recent Celebrity cruise. We lined up our tour with Daily Istanbul Tours independently and couldn't have been more pleased. Murat, our guide was very friendly and informative. We saw all the major attractions (except the protests), Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome, Hagia Sofia and Grand Bazar. We were going to see the Blue Mosque but the que was very long so our guide Murat recommended going to the New Mosque. What a great detour. It was a gorgeous Mosque with no lines. And the bonus it was right next to the Spice Market. Murat also added the Cisterns to the tour, very cool. Booking our tour with Soner was very easy and he responded to any questions we had. We highly recommend Daily Istanbul tours.

We had a very good introduction to Istanbul through this tour. The tour brought us to many of the must-see sights i.e. the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, the Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. Our gudie, Ali, was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable and managed to cram a few thousand years of history into a few hours very effectively! He also arranged our visits so that we had minimal queueing at the crowded sights. Lunch was quite substantial and at a very respectable restaurant. It is worth remembering that some of the sites are closed on certain days of the week and one should plan so that the sights one wants to visit will be open.
