“great view”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

It's very beautiful. You can see Asia and Europe at the same time. The tour is little too long, but you can have a different perspective from Istanbul.

We did a 2 hr cruise on the bosphorus. Don't be conned into tours that cost 15 euro or something. Along the front is the main ticket area and we paid 10TL each. This cruise takes you from the Eminonu point to the 2nd bridge and back.
You can pay 7.5TL for an audio guide. It was interesting at first, but at times was slighly boring. Worth just sitting on the boat and enjoy the views!!

“This was the highlight of my Istanbul trip”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

"There is always the Bosphorous", says Orhan Pamuk. It refreshes the city with a cool breeze in summer, and washes away the fatigues spirits withs its blueness, vibrancy and sheer beauty.
Every tour on a boat is worthwhile, and every view, on every day, is uplifting.

And yes, to travel to the Black Sea, and watch the water suddenly opening up ahead of you as it nears, is, to me, a moving experience I haven't quite go the bottom of yet....

“Do it yourself”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

A must to-do in your itinerary for Istanbul. It was a romantic ride with nice buildings and monuments on either side on the channel.
There were lot of options of paid tours, but its my advice that you do-it-yourself. Take a tram to Eminonu Tram station and go to nearby Kadikoy pier, there are Govt. Boats/ ferries and Private Boat (Both are equally good, we missed the Govt. one and took the private), these private operators would be calling 5 TL per person. Both of us completed the ride in just 10 TL, they have paid coffee, tea and snacks on board. Grab a seat towards left if possible.

“Go for the Evening Tour”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

Go for a Tour organised by the guides by the Sulthanamet. They charge a bit More, I paid 10 Euro for it. Try to stay with the tour guide when he takes you to the boat and try and get a seat on the top deck from where you can take good photos. Sit on the left side to get a good view of both the European and Asian side. Go for the evening tour when it is cooler. the wind tends to get cold one hour in. So take pleasure in it.. ;)
