Terminal is the closest one to the bridge if you get off at the Eminolu tram stop. 25TL for round trip. The 10TL tour is 2 hours out and back with no stop so choose carefully.
The 6 hour Ferry pretty was pretty empty which was great and the regular circuit of the waiters selling tea (1TL !!!) and coffee was entertaining. Flogging yoghurt before we arrived at the place that makes it (2.5TL) was real salesmanship and different. Audio guide fit 5TL at the port was definitely worth it (they need 100TL deposit ) and easy to share one between two.
Anadolu Kavagy at the end was OK. Bit of a walk up to the castle (ruined and you can't get in) and on a day when it was 11 degrees C took 25 minutes and made us pretty warm. Wouldn't like to do it on hot day - but would probably got a taxi up! View is worth it for 15 minutes then back down to the port to wrestle with restaurant touts. You are their only trade so expect it. We had a fine meal in one of the sea front places but were very clear on what we were being charged for fish. Prices are mostly per kilo so if something is 75TL on the menu the fish you point at may turn out to cost 110TL. So couple of mazes, grilled fish and salad, two beers - 80TL
The boat makes the trip though and the view of summer houses, towns, castles, bridges, multiple boats from ferries to tankers to container ships and the various stops makes this a very relaxing 6 hours.

The public ferries a cheap and frequent. You get a good view of the city. Take a walk on the Asia side of the city.

This is a must do. Take a Ferry all the way up to Black sea and back to IST later in the same day.
Avoid crowds and do this on week days. Make sure to arrive early at Ferry entrance, if you are interested on running for a seat at the top floor.
Well I could not and therefore I had mine inside at the entrance floor, but decided to stand for the whole trip looking at the scenario supported by ferry's rail. It was the best thing!
Observe crew, people in and out every station. Carry food for seal gulls (Smit) and taste Kalinka yogurt.
Later on, be prepared for an uphill walk for a castle that is not open to public visitation, but pays for top observation spot. Get a spot to a nice meal for lunch! Prices are not fair.

Took a boat down the Bosphorous, best way to see the city and the mosques, past all the lovely old houses, worth doing!
