“Put on your walking shoes and get out there!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

Walking around the historic area of Istanbul is a feast for all the senses. There is so much to see - and smell and taste. It is a great way to get to know a city and its people and as the area is not so large, it isn't too onerous on the feet! Well worth it, and do be sure to stop by the many small vendors and sample the food which is DELICIOUS!

“Amazing!”

Istanbul has always been on my bucket list. It did not disappoint and the people are so friendly. My children wanted to go back and back to the Grand Bazaar. It was a unique experience.

“Don't miss the Grand Bazaar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

What a place to spend an afternoon! The merchants are so friendly and not hard sell. They will offer you tea or coffee while in their shops but you do not need to feel compelled to purchase. They recognized you on your next trip whether it is the next day or the next year. They do not forget faces. Stop by to Ali at Charisma Silver. Great prices on jewelry. And Ali is a real gentleman.

“Galata Tower and Sultanahmet, a must!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2013

Don't miss the Genoese quarter (the surroundings of Galata Tower) and the streets around Aga Sofia / Topkapi Palace. It's a place to wander and wonder.
