I booked this Hostel for one night when i went to Istanbul. But after staying there for one night, i immediately booked it for the remaining of the trip (i am always cautious when booking Hostels, they are either a hit or a miss). Firstly the rooms and beds were clean and comfortable, they clean the rooms and change sheets daily. The location was excellent, i was 5 minutes walk away from pretty much everything, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, Gellata Bridge, etc (except Takseem Square, you need to take the train there). The best part was the staff and the atmosphere. The hostel staff was extremely helpful in guiding, they warned me about the ripoffs and also told me about the best places to do my shopping (saved at least 50% on some stuff). Plus when i just wanted to relax, i came downstairs and sipped tea and played backgammon with other people and the staff and had a great time. On the last note, even if they don't advertise it, the food they offer is much better and cheaper than some of the fancy restaurants. Can't wait to go back there.
A little secret, ask the Hotel Manager Tarik to make fresh lemonade, it's delicious....

This place has twice been our haunt on trips through Turkey, it is a little more on the quiet side as a hostel, which I prefer, but there are restuarants just across the street that keep going till the night is late.
The rooms and bathrooms have always been nice and clean, although they are a little small.
On the return of this trip we came into Istanbul at 6am, so they allowed us to leave our bags at the hostel for the day even the we weren't staying for the night.
This may not be the most economical place to stay but it is in a nice location, just two minutes walk from the Metro station Sultanahmet. Enjoy Istanbul.
