“Awesome tulips! Absolutely beautiful!”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

Like a dream - thousands of tulips of varied colours - make sure you go during the annual tulip season. Picnic tables, playing areas for children, restaurants and toilets on site make it an ideal day-long summer picnic spot. Tons of pictures to be taken here with the abundant tulips and other flowers!

“It's wonderful in April and May”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

I go this Park very often but like it in April and May, when all tulips are grown and design is so great. Pool side is so relaxing too. Concerts are worth to watch.

“Tulip Heaven”
Reviewed July 1, 2012

This park is way off the beatten tracks! It is about an hour by bus from the historical district which allows you to have a good look at the "real Istambul"! The park itself is very nice with 3 little wooden pavillions where you can have coffee and sweets, and it is one of THE place to see tulips during the tulip festival (may?). The hills of the parks explode with millions of flowers in a carpets of vibrant colors and various designs. Families come here to strole along and admire. It's really nice. Dont hesitate to buy sweets (gauffrettes) and the folded crepes stuffed with cheese made on site and sold by the old women on the way down to the Bosphorus after you exit the garden, they're sooo good! We had dinner by the big locanta/pastry shop by the Bosphorus on the left when you look at the gardens and it was great! A day to remember !

“Spending few hours in tulip paradise”
Reviewed April 24, 2012

In Istanbul, the most beatiful time is Spring, because everywhere is full of tulips, especially Emirgan Tulip Garden is excellent with its various vivid coloured and different species of tulips. The best way is taking bus from Ortakoy or Taksim and get off in Emirgan bus stop, then walk through the garden. There are three wide parking spaces in the garden for private cars. The artificial pool is wonderful and having a coffee at Sarı Köşk is so relaxing.(Yellow building, which is a Restaurant now, was built in 1871-1878 as a residence by Hidiv Ismail Paşa. The ceiling and the walls were painted by Sarkis Balyan) The garden and the restaurant are open from 09.00-23.00 hrs. The restaurant has open buffet breakfast and brunches at weekends. Adult 17 TL, children 12.50 TL. The forest at the back of the garden is great for jogging. The picnic area is so well designed for the families.
