“Good price, nice view”
Reviewed March 18, 2014 via mobile

We choose this hotel because of the price and view and were not disappointed. The staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is fine. The only bad thing is the hot water is salt.
We were so lucky to stay at best room with a great view, but all visitors are able to enjoy this view from the restaurant.

It's a decent hotel overall for a medium range travel. Rooms are neat and friendly staff, breakfast is good. Would have been better if the reception, hallways and lift were more spacious and had different restaurant options. Appreciate your services!

We have stayed at the hotel for a week, the staff were friendly, especially with my kids, reception staff in general were good, especially Mohmat.Rooms are somewhat small but clean hotel is not 4 stars, the breakfast was relatively good , but must find a solution to the stairway at the entrance of the hotel that is not commensurate with strollers and when carrying luggage, in general good, but it is not 4-star hotel

Firstly, we had a bit of a disaster when we arrived at the hotel (left laptop in taxi!), but the hotel staff were very helpful and did their best to try to help (we got it back in the end!)

We were disappointed with the location of the hotel on arrival as it didn't suit our needs. We had thought we were booked into the other Q-Inn, which is more centrally located.

However, we went up to our room to unpack and were brought drinks to the room, which was lovely.

Once unpacked we decided to have a nap before going out to explore the area, however, when we woke up, we discovred the air conditioning unit had leaked a large amount of water onto the top of the wardrobe which was running down the front and inside - luckily not onto our clothes!

We called reception for assistance and were told that someone would be up shortly, but noone came, so we went down and brought somebody up, who just told us not to use the unit, so we asked to move rooms.

We then re-packed our things and were moved to another room down the corridor, which seemed to have an aircon unit which was working fine, but the room was not a very good standard.

We stayed the night, and went to breakfast in the morning which was a very bizarre mix of food!

We went down to reception in the morning to explain that we were not happy with the room, but also more than anything we were not happy with the location - they eventually agreed to move us to the other Q-Inn hotel, but we explained that we did not wish to stay there - to which they insisted that we must.

We agreed to pay for 1 nights stay, but wanted to find another hotel for the rest of our stay.

They were very insistant that we must stay at their hotel and when we left, they even refused to give our taxi driver the details of the hotel we wanted to go to, but told him to take us to their other Q-Inn hotel.

During the journey we eventually managed to explain to the taxi driver where it was we actually wanted to go.

I would not stay at another Q-Inn hotel again as the quality of the rooms is not of a very good standard.

Stayed from 1st to 5th oct 2013. It was rather a sad experience for me and my wife. We chose this hotel on a recommendation of a friend.
Need to caution the upcoming tourist friends that this hotel is dingy looking crammed hotel with not even one sq mtr of open space. There is a huge number of east european business women who come here and buy loads of textile good because the hotel is located in the thick of whole sale textile market. Then the hotel is used as a godown before these women leave the hotel for their country with the purchased goods.
The hotel does not even hv a single restaurant or a proper coffee shop. There in no kettle, tea and coffee bags in hotel rooms and not even a bottle of drinking water. Every time we had to go to ground floor from the 5th floor to fetch water.
The breakfast was a part of the package but for all the 5 days we had exactly the same breakfast and many a times one felt that it was all left over of yesterday.
Language was a great problem with hotel staff which was not expected. The rates of things organised by then, like cabs, tours, shuttles etc were all on the higher side. The exchange rates applied by them, as usual were always in their favour. For indian tourists and particularly from Delhi , can visualise it to be slightly upgraded version of a paharganj hotel.
The room was just about comfortable . The cleaning and room making in the morning was just very ordinary. There is no concept of room service at all.
All in all if u just have to hit any kind of bed in any kind of hotel and concentrate only on buying goods to take to your country to trade and sell and make money, like all east european ladies did , then this hotel may suit your needs. Certainly and certainly, this hotel is not at all suitable for tourists who want to enjoy Istanbul by living in a decent, inexpensive hotel. really, speaking I was a bit shy to tell my friends etc that i was staying in Q Inn.
Yes, a positive feature was that the tram station of Lalleli was very close to the hotel which was very helpful for commuting etc.
I must also mention that managers on front desk were always polite and tried to be helpful but of not much use. Perhaps there being polite was of no consequence because the whole of turkey/istanbul was extremely polite and helpful in any case and therefore provided a lot of comfort to tourists like us.

the outstanding point was the kind and polite staff, they help us during the stay a lot. the room itself was totally comparable with a 4-star and a 2-star Hotel that I had once resided in Madrid.
the breakfast was also good.

Room Tip: in some rooms the wireless works and in some rooms it doesn't.
