A very nice hotel in a convenient location, near Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The hotel provided a free pick-up service from the airport (while the transfer back cost 25 euros for 2 people) and the welcoming when we arrived was great. However, we spent the first night at their nearby hotel, Almina, as something in our room needed fixing. That was a bit of a nuisance, but the staff were nice and offered a complimentary bottle of wine and a basket of fruit to make up. The room we were then given was very nice and clean, breakfast could have been larger but all in all it was satisfactory. The train passed just in front of our window but we slept well, maybe because when we came back we were always very tired!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Istanbul which, by the way, is a fantastic city!

This hotel is situated in the old city of Sultanahmet, under the Blue Mosque. Just 5 minutes from the great square between Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Topkapi Palace is just a 15 minutes walk away from the hotel. You will get all information on Istanbul and sightseeing trips at the reception. If you have a question, just ask. The hotel room we stayed in was equipped with good beds, lcd television, minibar and individual airco. In the shiny bathroom, lovely thick towels (changed every day) a nice shower and complimentary soap, shampoo and showergel. True, our room was situated right above the train track. It didn't bother us. The view of the room was not exeptional e.g. we saw a wall right in front of us. It did take away some of the sound of the trains, and to be true if you are in Istanbul you do not spend time in your room other than to sleep in at night. In the room a safe which could take a 15' laptop. Truly amazing was the free internet in the room. Quick and no problem with log in! Breakfast with a large variety, fruit, and cheese. Scrambled eggs, sausage, and boiled eggs, tea and coffee. You can take up your plate to the roof terrace to enjoy Istanbul in the morning. Views of the Blue Mosque and the sea. In the evening you can book a BBQ on the roof terrace. Say hi to Jean from Noor and Manon if you stay at the hotel. He knows how to treat his guests. Enjoy your stay!

We stayed here for 4 nights in May and were very pleased with the hotel. The location is excellent, only a short stroll from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi and the Cistern. There is a tram stop near the mosque which will take you to the spice bazaar, grand bazaar and over the water. So perfect location. There is also a roof terrace with great views of the Mosque one one side and the bospherous on the other. On the streets near the hotel there are some lovely restaurants and recommend trying these - it has a real resort feel about it (rather than inner city).

The rooms are decorated in a very sumptious fashion and are comfortable. The only disappointment here was that there was a single wardrobe with a few hangers and there were no drawers anywhere. As a result we lived out of a suitcase - not ideal.

Breakfast was average - whilst i will always eat the local specialities for lunch and dinner, i'm quite traditional at breakfast and like cereal, fruit, bread and the occasional fry up. The bread was amazing - so fresh, and there was a good selection of meats and cheeses, but limited fruit, juices, cereal and hot food. Service at breakfast was a little bit slow (getting tables cleared, replenishing buffet etc).

Service on the whole was very good - receptionist friendly and informative, and staff taking bags to room, serving drinks etc also very friendly.

Other guests have mentioned the noise from the train - our room was quite close to the train line and whilst you can hear it it didnt keep us awake as the double glazing is very effective. One other note of caution, they were in the final stages of building small bar/nightclub opposite the hotel as we were leaving. I imagine that with the nightclub sound proofing and the good double glazing that this shouldnt cause too many problems but keep in mind if you are a light sleeper.

We had a wonderful time and the location is spot on!

We booked the hotel as part of an holiday package. It was the location that compelled us; walking distance from all sights. The roof terrace is great, good views over the Bosporus and Blue Mosque. Staff is friendly and helpful, if you can handle the cheeky attitude of some... Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Like many hotels they offer a lot of the worst. Why not just keep it simple. Just a fresh croissant, juice and good coffee will do for most. The rooms are spotless and fitted with all mod cons. Having free working wifi is definitely a plus. The beds are a bit hard, but not too uncomfortable.
