We stayed in the Antis Hotel in April during the outburst of the Iceland volcano. We therefor had to stay in Istanbul 5 days longer than planned and that was no ptoblem at all. The receptionists remained and even gave us a discount for the extra days.
The hotel is well located in the Sultanamet area; from our (not too big) room we had a good view on the blue mosque; this and the Aia Sophia and the Topkapi palace are on walioking distance (4 minutes) from the hotel. Prices are very reasonable, we payed about 85 euro per night per room (in April 2010) . In the restaurant they only serve breakfast, but there are plent of cheap restaurants nearby; the open rooftop had hardly any fascilities when we were there, but may be seasonable thing.More
