They were overbooked the first night that we arrived, so they sent us to a crappy hotel for one night even though I had a confirmed room. They paid for a cruise of the Bosphorous to make up for it, but I was annoyed enough to knock off 1 point.

The location is great, short walk to Blue Mosque, etc. It is right next to a train line, so please keep your windows closed. Also, the breakfast isn't great.

My best friend and I have just returned from several enjoyable days spent at the Antis Hotel. Having primarily chosen to stay here due to its proximity to the main tourist sights, throughout the course of our stay we felt lucky to be staying at such a friendly hotel. From the moment were checked in by the very knowledgable Gavin, we were given a great overview of the sights all over the city both nearby and further afield. This information extended to day trips available within Istanbul and also outside the city, and also suggestions for evening entertainment and places to eat.

The room itself (a twin) was a decent size, with fresh décor and good en suite facilities. The beds were very comfortable and the room was equipped with a safe, TV and tea-making facilities. Free wi-fi is available in the rooms and throughout the hotel, Gavin just gave us the access code after we checked in. We were aware of trains passing by every so often, but not to the point where it kept us awake or bothered us at all since we were on the opposite side of the hotel. If we had been in a room closer to the train track it may have been more of an issue.

Breakfast provided a good range of options: cold meats, cheeses, breads and pancakes as well as hot items such as scrambled or boiled eggs, sausage and potatoes. All of this was included in the room rate but there were additional items available to order on demand at a small cost.

Although the weather was too cold when we visited to really spend a lot of time up on the roof, there is a lovely terrace there with either sea views to the south or to the Blue Mosque to the north. Well worth going up there at night to get a great picture of the Mosque all lit up!

All in all we had an enjoyable stay and were glad that we chose Antis Hotel. We were especially pleased that the hotel left 2 little Easter eggs in our room to say thank you towards the end of our stay...nice touch!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the train track.

Very central for exploring the town. The view either hand to Bosporus and the other hand to the Blue Moschee is fantastic. Perfect airport transfer, good room service, well equipped rooms, good trained, friendly service team. Good introduction of highlights of the town at time of check in. A lot of restaurants surround the hotel.

Room Tip: We booked online at a blue yellow German discountr

upon arrival the receptionist said they had overbooked, we were very dissapointed. This seems to be a reoccuring theme. But i would not be too disappointed because they carried our luggage and we walked two minutes up the charming old city roads to hotel Almino which is more expensive and has better quality of rooms then Antis!!! The next day we were offered the delux room with wonderful sea view from the bed. breakfast is not offered at the roof top dining area but some people did take it up there. The view is spectacular, look left and you see the bosphorous look right and you see the magnificent Blue mosque without any obstructions!!

Quality of rooms is good enough, not five star but clean, the power shower is excellent. I was not too keen on their breakfast, its mainly cold stuff, slices of cheese, chicken on fresh bread. luke warm scrambled eggs.

The reception staff were very helpful, gave us good tips on where to go for good food. how much to pay for taxi's and what to avoid. They made our city break very warm, welcoming and enjoyable.

Location is brilliant! lots of little local shops around to get essentials.

The train didn't bother me cos i'm a heavy sleeper, probably cos we fit so much in during the day and so tired when we got home. Thats the way to go!!

Room Tip: third floor walk right to the end of the corridor

After searching for the perfect 5 day stay for our honeymoon. My new husband and I picked the Antis Hotel. We were greeted by lovely staff after our 25 Euro transfer from the airport (later finding out average price is 5 Euro) We were taken to our Deluxe Room with Sea View (481 Euro for 5 nights) We could not see the Sea, we saw a burned up building and railroad tracks. They were told a month in advance that it was our honeymoon but did nothing to make it special for us or decorate. We paid 24 Euro for a few sodas from the mini bar and the toilet paper holding kept coming off the wall. The shower leaked and water was always on the floor, but yet the bed was comfortable. They advertised a "sound proof" room which we later found out was not. We heard talking downstairs, knocking on other doors and of course the lovely train that went by and shook the walls every 20 min. There was no room service menu, we had to call downstairs to have one brought to our room, and no tissue, it was a nightmare. The breakfast was cheap food and when we arrived we had to wait 6 hours for our room because people were still sleeping in it. We were told to take a tour bus around the city for 25 Euro, but were told afterwards that it was 25 Euro EACH. Our honeymoon suffered and we had to pay an 85 Euro cancellation fee to check out 3 days early.

great people, very helpfull, rooms very clean but little small if u r an indoor people turkey very safe at night in this district lots of shops music on the street but oriental not the western style the food was quite enough the chefs are very pleasent people very friendly staff they know everything on the map and how to get there and the three musketeers as i used to call them me and my family Gokhan , Aukhan and ergan are really wonderfull people and they were really the reason we had a very pleasant 14 days on the anadols. one would like to take them as peer models for the honest hard working young men, the only problem was the train but is stops from 12 am to 6 am beds are comfy and the only problem with the room was the TV only in turkish.
