We had a wonderful four night stay at 5oda and highly recommend it. The minimalist room was large and very comfortable. The breakfasts delivered to the room when we were ready to eat were large, varied and delicious. The location is fantastic, just a block or so from Istiklal Street, an exciting center of dining, entertainment and political activity, and a short walk from the Galata Bridge. The 5oda managers were fantastic, giving us advice on sightseeing, help with transfers to the airport, and just generally being very friendly and helpful.

We booked 5oda at the last minute as our flight from Australia was changed. Received a warm welcome from Nicola who personally oriented us to an ATM, and guided us to a spectacular rooftop cafe. The place is well located near Tunel and transport. The room was not as big as the web page suggested and we thought it slightly pricey considering the size. A nice breakfast delivered to the door and plenty of friendly advice in great English to orient us to Istanbul.

We stayed for 3 nights at this great property. The hotel literally has 5 rooms, hence the name. The owners and staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The rooms are modern, with a nice style. They are well equipped with a small kitchen area. Breakfast is served in your room and is plentiful as well as delicious. They arranged a car and driver for us to get us to the airport at an ungodly hour (0400) and even packed us breakfast to go the night before. When they found out it was my husbands birthday, they decorated a cake for him and wrapped up a small gift and card for him and left both in our room (including candles and matches). The area this hotel is in is perfect as it is close to the metro and one block from the main shopping street (but away from the noise). There are lots of great little boutique type shops nearby as well as little grocery stores. It is walking distance across the Galata Bridge to the old city and very near both the Istanbul Modern and the Pera Museum. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is located on a quiet street just 1/2 block away from Istiklal Street and the teleferic that gets you to Galata Bridge in just a minute! From the Galata Bridge, its a beautiful walk to the he Suthanamet. Every evening walking on that Bridge made us appreciate the beautiful sunsets by the Golden Horn.

The rooms are more like studio apartments, very specious and the little balcony of the 4th floor was the icing on the cake. The staff was extremely helpful with any of our needs. Breakfast was brought to our room every morning at our request. One morning we were traveling to Izmir, they even had a breakfast bag for us to take!

The service was amazing! Sennur made us feel at home and Gulten answered my onslaught of emails without missing a beat! She even got ahold of one of her friends to take us out for a night on the town! She made us feel part of her family and only sent us places she felt were the right fit for us.

My sister is going to Istanbul at the end of the summer and I recommended her to stay there!

We will definitely be coming back!

We had a layover in Istanbul before our flight to the south and we led to this lodging. The hotel is actually a converted townhouse with five large rooms [400 sq. feet] each, with kitchen and en suite bathroom. Very clean, spare and modern in aspect.

Our room overlooked a back cobblestone street toward the metro/subway and was light and airy. It actually feels more like a B&B in nature and that's just fine. We were able to specify when we wanted breakfast the next morning and it was placed right outside our door as we made coffee. It was quite ample.

The location was excellent and the staff very helpful in guiding us to places to see and experience which weren't entirely touristy.

Room Tip: We were on the 3rd floor and it faced the back street - but the windows are new and there was no noise that was a problem.
