We actually just went there for a lunch time drink. It was fairly quiet. There are very comfortable sofas for seating and plenty of shades to protect you from the sun. We had a couple of beers but they bring you a plate full of nuts. There is a superb 360 degree view - particularly over the sights of Sultanahmet and the Marmara Sea. The bar is on a roof top terrace but you could sit inside - this must be the restaurant at night. When you walk along Divan Yolu Cd, you will come to the Pierre Loti Hotel on the left. Do not go into the cafe by that name at street level. You need to go into the hotel and take the lift to the top floor.

The view was amazing from this roof top bar. As the sun set, it was great to get some nice pics of the city. The staff were lovely and made me laugh. I had a salad only but was very nice and large. The wine was good and the bill very reasonable.

The chairlift was slow as there were only two carriages to take people. It was a long and tiring queue and when we got to the top we were hot and upset. After having got our breath back,we were happy to seep in the marvellous views.

Stopped in beverages and then decided to come back for lunch a few days later. Staff were excellent and professional. Only issue I had was that a staff member (waiter I think) was standing out an open door smoking and the smoke was wafting back into the bar area. Pierre Loti tries to be an upscale alternative to the traditional kebab and coffee houses in the area, and this type of activity seems to be unbecoming of what this establishment is trying to be. Cocktails are expensive (20 TL for the cheapest) but the bartender knew how to make them well and I think it would be hard to find a better drinks menu anywhere in Sultanahmet. The hospitality was wonderful. Lunch was a different story..Food was uninspired and pricey. Come here to have a drink or two and soak in the beautiful view, but save your money and eat elsewhere.

Chose this restaurant, because restaurants next door were in the same price range, so why not have a nice view? Incredible view, although it was raining, nice atmosphere in a small restaurant. Drinks were incredibly expensive, 4 TL for water, 5TL for cola. My boyfriend order "Margarita Pizza", quite disappointing. Cheese on frozen pizza crust. I ordered Lentil soup (delicious ) and chicken, mushroom, soybean sauce wrap. SO SALTY! it was hard to finish, and we didn't want to pay for another drink to help wash it down. Maybe we are cheap, but we expected a much higher quality of food for the appearance of the terrace in the hotel. I also think 16% gratuity included in the bill is quite high. We have had much better food, at the same price range, with a large water bottle (for 2TL) all over turkey.
