This is the hotel you need if you want to spend a few days in Istanbul and enjoy the liveliness of the city. LOCATION: a It is a couple of minutes away from Istiklal Caddesi, the most famous pedestrian street in town , full of shops, cafes and restaurants open until late at night. however, maybe because our room was located at the 4th floor, the noise of the night life was not bothering. Taksim square is very close: from there it is possible to get buses to both airports, metro, and, above all, the historic cable car. Walking to Sultanahmet, the historic heart of Istanbul, was also duable. HOTEL: really clean rooms, rich breakfast buffet, extremely friendly personnel. Profi cook Bulat introduced us to typical breakfast delicacies; the assistance of Serpil (the hotel manager) and Murat at the reception desk was particularly appreciated during the extra days we had to remain in Istanbul because of volcanic ashes. Unforgettable! A big thank to you all guys!

This is a great practical solution. It's clean and well maintained, in a great location near Taxim Square. You're a block from the main pedestrian promenade and among side streets with great little cafes and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and competent. The rooms are a bit small, but comfortable. The bathrooms are nice. There was a little noise from the nearby disco one night, but it wasn't that bad.

My girlfriend's company picked up the tab for a conference. It's a bit more pricey than we usually pay but served as a good introduction to Istanbul.

Have mixed feelings about this hotel. The location was fantastic.... literally a minute from the most happening restaurant / bar walking street in Istanbul. But major drawbacks include 1) terrible housecleaning (the maid never threw out empty bottles, soda cans and dirty plates), 2) too loud at night -- the hotel is located right around the corner / on top of a disco so you can hear the techno music into the wee hours of the morning even from out room on the 5th floor; not recommended if you're a light sleeper; 3) small rooms -- not enough space for two ppl's luggage.

Whether you like this hotel I think depends on what price you pay. If it's <= $90, then it's good value; otherwise, you can probably do better.

Everything inside the hotel looks new & clean .The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel offers transit for visitors from airport. As a welcome drink, all soft drinks of a minibar in the room are free charge. Location very convenient the near Taksim square, close to lots of restaurants and the popular shopping street Istiklal. Easy Metro access. The price of the room is not expensive and if you are planning on having more cash to shop instead, this is the place to be.Small team of staff but very helpful & friendly. The manager Ms. Serpil an absolute delight to the hotel guests.
I enjoyed dealing with her during my stay at Santa Ottoman Boutique Hotel.
I would recommend this Hotel for your next stay.

The hotel is in perfect location, very central. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the hotel is lovely decorated and the rooms are brand new, and very nicely decorated, everything is just like on the pictures and hotel website, just even better! They offer transfer from or to the airport, and I would say that the transfer to the hotel is more important, as the airport is huge, and you simply want to settle down as smooth as possible - everything went perfectly well. We also asked them to arrange transfer on our way back, and it was also nice, and cheap - around 25 euros for two of us. Breakfast is good, and different every day, I liked it very much, as it is an opportunity to try some local specialties as well. The hotel restaurant is very good, with great barbecue, and also very good prices, you have to try it! The rooms are not that small considering that this is a central, city hotel. It is a bit noisy during the night, as there is a night club near by, but we had no problem sleeping. If you do not like noise, do not go to Istanbul, go to spa or countryside :) We got a nice fruit basket for New Year! Wi-Fi is also working well in the rooms, and it is free of charge.
Taksim square offers broad range of possibilities for exploring the city, as you can choose bus, metro, trams or taxis to go anywhere you want. Taxis are very cheap for a European city, we haven't paid more than 10 euros for any taxi ride. You can also walk to Sultanahmet if you like, it is around 5 km, but with so many things to see it is a very nice walking tour. You can also walk to Dolmabahce palace, even to Ortakoy or Fenar . I would really recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to see the best of Istanbul, and feel like it's citizen - as it's central location offers blending in, not like in some other areas (close to Grand Bazaar, for e.g.), where you cannot get rid of annoying shoe "cleaners", and souvenir sellers, and where everything is written on Russian or Italian, just to make the tourists feel like at "home" and buy as much as possible. As shopping was not our main preference, we wanted to avoid that hassle and explore the sites and the city. I would like to come here again!
