Santa Ottoman one of the best hotels I've been too, (itwon't be for picky people as it is not very fancy) I've been there twice, 1st was in my Honey moon, and guess what? next year same time i went again with my wife
each time was more than 5 nights so we had a free transportation to the hotel, which was amazing, we didn't have to look for a taxi, the location of the hotel is amazing it is about 3 mins walking to Takseem square which is the main square where you find all transportation nice restaurants and coffee shops.
for the hotel it is value is great, 44 euros including breakfast for two, was great may be it was a little off season i was lucky.
the breakfast is amazing, every day new menu so we were never board, Turkish food in nice any way, rooms were always clean, maids are really funny they don't speak any English, but they were funny. not all stuff speaks good English, which was going to put me in a trouble as i was there and the time was going to change 1 hour, and when i ask the girl in the reception she told me no, and i was going to miss my flight, but any way rather than that they are really nice and funny. the Hotel is not very fancy as i said, but really clean, in a very vital place, and it is 50 m from Istiqlal street, it is about 1.5km of shops and restaurants no care are allowed there it is only for walking. and in turkey no one needs fancy hotels, you have to go out. so Santa Ottoman is the best place to be there

Room Tip: choose the rooms on the corner of the hotel it is bigger i think it was 202 so the 2 room in any floor

We stayed in Santa Ottoman Boutique Hotel for four nights and it was a very comfortable staying.
We found that hotel by chance when checking the Taksim hotels as the hotel where we stayed last time (Gonen Taksim Hotel) was a bit expensive. The reviews were mostly positive and we decided to get our own experience.

We never regretted. The hotel is situated on Istiklal avenue, and this location is perfect if you want to sightseeing in this part of Istanbul and go shopping (which we do not do much).

The lobby is very small, but we did not use it, so why to care. The person at reception was always nice, same was about us and nobody had reason to complain. We tipped them a bit when checked out, but they could not forsee it, so their hospitality was not on that ground.

The room was small enough, but tidy and in a nice red colour. We had a nice view from the window and no noise to disturb us at nights. We also found the bed very comfortable and had so good dreams in our red room))).

I liked the breakfast, though some people complained. To me there was some meal variety and even one hot meal, which is more then ehough when you stay in the hotel in this location and this price.

The cafes around have good selection of meal and friendly staff. I also like that Sturbucks is only some steps away.

I definately will recommend this hotel to my friends and more then that our next trip to Istanbul is scheduled for November. We shall stay in Santa Ottoman again.

i was staying there 1 night:) we didnt print our the map and couldnt find the hotel and surprsing that it was hard to find a person who would help even policemen:)) i wonder how they work there:) but if to come back to hotel -nice and very helpful staff, clean and big enough rooms, my only disadvantage was very soft bed:) but taste differ:) all the rest was very good - nice place, comfortable location, clean, calm place - real pearl of istanbul

Good hotel close to Taksim
Was there twice with my wife. Next time most probably will stay also.
1. Very good location. Center but quiet.
2. Price vs. quality is ok for citycenter
3. Walking distance from Havas (airport) bus stop - 5 min walk. Havas buses leave from both airports to Taksim every half hr
4. Poor breakfast

Ask the corner room 203, 303, 403 etc - size of the room bit bigger than standart

Room Tip: Ask the corner room 203, 303, 403 etc - size of the room bit bigger than standart

we stayed only 1 night in Santa Ottoman Hotel only because of its location! we needed a place just beside the Taqsim square & Istiklal restaurants ! so based on the reviews we chose this hotel, from outside it is a very normal/small building, few staires & no ramp for luggage, no lobby & only a small reception. however the staff were really kind & they carried our heavy luggaes by elevator seperately. when we saw the room it was a surprise!!!! beautiful, clean room with a kitchenette, big bathroom & I guess recently renovated.
we really enjoyed there ..the only negatives were the basic breakfast, noises of construction at night, the rest are all ok. we will return to this hotel for sure!

Room Tip: rooms on higher floors should have less noise at night!
