we spend 8 days in that hotel in February and very like it. good breakfast, good location, near small supermarket, every floor has wi-fi router! free laptop and printer are available on reception - so we printed our boarding pass. silent street without traffic. helpful administrators
we would like to return in that hotel.

Room Tip: rooms opposite site from the sea has big windows. every floor has wi-fi router! free laptop and pri...

I booked this hotel because my brother in law recommended it and he was right, a very cosy hotel with real friendly staff. The staff were very helpfull and told us what the possibilities were and where they were located including a few good restaurants. The hotel is located not even a 10 min. walk from the Blue Mosque so very central. The breakfast was nice with fresh fruit and several Turkish dishes as well. All in all it made our trip to Istanbul an unforgettable one.
All the more reason to go back to this beautiful city and book the same hotel again!!!

we booked through the hotel directly as they offered a free airport pickup if u resereved 7 nights. and they were there on time, it's a little bit hard to reach there if it's ur first time! they wellcomed us very warmly and they offered to upgrade the room for us but for just 2 nights (availibilty wise) but we prefered to stay in our standard room to avoid packing :) but we loved the offer..
first of all the staff is the secret of that place, the hotel is 2* but they are 5* rated. very helpful and friendly.
the breakfast was good but fixed all the days :)
no elevator with tiny stairs, but don't worry u will find the help.
the room is basic but good enough for budgeted trip. with high speed internet

overall i loved my stay there :) recommended

We stayed in Hotel Tulip House during 4 nights. All was excellent! The hotel is really stay in the heart of Istambul near the sea. The sea view is really beautiful and exciting. Rooms were cleaning every day, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. And the staff was super nice. Especially manager Mehmet. He told us about all sights and recomended a few very nice restorans. And I think
partly because he helped us our trip was really admirable. If we ever come back to Istambul we'll choose only this hotel!

PS It is possible to reach hotel by public transport from the airport. It won't take too much time.

We stayed at the Tulip House Hotel for four nights, during our ten days trip through Turkey. We arrived at night after a long flight from Brazil, and we were happy to be greeted by someone holding a board with our name written on it. The free airport pick up was a plus and made our arrival much easier.

Tulip House is a small hotel, in a beautiful building, very nicely decorated. The front office staff is very friendly and the check-in was quick and smooth.

Our room was good, clean, nicely decorated, with air conditioning, mini-fridge and cable TV. Although it faced the small street where the hotel is located, it was very quiet and I had a good rest. The bathroom was also nice, with loads of hot water.

The breakfast was included in the price and we ate it on a nice terrace, overlooking the sea and a beautiful mosque. The food was tasty and they offered a great selection to choose from. The beverages was OK, but we missed some fresh juices. But they had coffee and tea, though.

During the breakfast we were visited by a small cat from the neighborhood (there's a lot of cats in Istanbul!) looking for some food and attention. We though it was pleasing and cute, but the lady in charge of the breakfast area seemed to disagree, and started throwing some small rocks on the cat, who flew away very quickly! It was kind of disturbing watch the cat get hit (it screamed and stumble away) and we felt the whole scene unnecessary and were not pleased at all to watch it.

The hotel is very nicely located, on walking distance from all the major attractions, including the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and the Hagia Sophia. That makes it a good base for exploring the city on foot. There's a lot of small cafes in the area and also a good selection of restaurants to choose from.

We paid 59 Euros for a double room, booking online directly with the hotel. I though it was a good price, considering the nice room and good location. But I understand the hotel changes prices a lot depending on the season and the demand. So, it is worth it to check the prices a few times before booking online.

Overall, I believe Hotel Tulip House is a good place to stay in Istanbul, nicely located, with good and comfortable rooms and a tasty breakfast. I do recommend it and probably will stay there again when I return to Istanbul.

Room Tip: The rooms varies a lot. Some have good views, while others are below street level or face the breakf...

First of all, I should say Emrah and Mehmet (the two managers) are the two nicest people in Istanbul. The hotel is nice, and within walking distance of both the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. The tram that takes you to the harbor is also nearby and it is quite easy to get from the airport to the hotel by public transportation. This hotel will provide a pickup if you book directly through their website. The only downside is being right in the heart of Sultanahmet, the calls to prayer from the surrounding mosques are quite loud, particularly the one at 6.30 AM and the one before you go to sleep. Breakfast is ok but again as some people have mentioned, the Nescafe is the only downer.

We did not enjoy Istanbul for other reasons but this hotel and its staff are to be commended.

I have recently stayed in this hotel for five days. The location is very good. It is close to all main tourist attractions in Old City and Eminonu like a main starting point for exploring other important locations and attractions.
The room was big and very nice with big and comfortable beds. I recommend that you take room with sea view and balcony (rooms on the last two floors), especially if travelling in Istanbul in no-winter time. Keep in mind that there is no elevator.
The breakfast is maybe little bit repetitive after few days, but good enough.
TripAdvisor's good rating isn't without reason.
I have no complaints and I recommend this place.
