Description: ÇokÇok, the successful and popular purveyor of Thai cuisine in Istanbul, continues to attract gastronomes in search of adventure and novelty to the eclectic Tepebaşı district with an expanded new menu by its renowned Thai Chef Ms. Nuch. Equally exciting is an entirely new cocktail menu created by its professional bar team that represents a first in Turkey with its innovation and originality. Offering a relaxing and cozy atmosphere in its bar with the latest lounge music playing into the wee hours, ÇokÇok will continue to be a popular meeting place this winter for locals and visitors alike. Here are just a few of the new tastes offered by ÇokÇok’s expanded menu: “Tofu soup (Gaeng jued tao hoo khao)”, prepared with mung bean noodle, bean sprouts , and soy sauce. “Grilled calamari with garlic souce (Pla mac yang ka-tee)” black pepper lime leaves, and sweet red chilies served with fried rice marinated with garlic. “Fried rice with chicken (Khao phad phrik kaeng khiao wan kai)” prepared with green curry, spring onion and garlic served with Thai omelet. “Steamed Seabass (pla neuzg manao)”, a real treat for hot and spicy food lovers, prepared with hot chilies, garlic, soy sauce combined with lime leaves and fresh ginger. These are just a few of the dishes’ specially prepared flavors. “Fried lobster with garlic sauce (Lobsterthot ka tee)” enhanced by the perfect harmony of oyster and soy sauces with black pepper…The unique and remarkable cocktail menu is an experience in itself...One sip from the exclusive combinations of exotic fruits and vegetables will take you from the heart of the city to a whole other world. Designed to complement the foods with similar taste motifs, choosing from the new cocktail menu may prove to be a distracting challenge from the extensive international wine list. There is not a single ordinary or classic choice among the original cocktails prepared with fresh and natural ingredients and offered as an aperitif or digestive to dinner. Especially recommended are the spicy Pam-Dor that will warm you up even on the hotest summer evening and the coriander and ginger-flavored Rain Odaiba, a perfect compliment to ÇokÇok’s chicken with fresh ginger.ÇokÇok is the ideal address to drop by to awaken your senses with a deliciously spicy cocktail in the middle of the day, enliven your day with an exotic salad, or build up your strength with a nutritious and filling soup. Those who feel they deserve a little indulgence may stretch out on the traditional cushions at the mezzanine floor any time of the day and refresh their body and soul with a fresh fruit salad with bitter and sour sauce. Designed by the internationally acclaimed, award-winning Singaporean architect Kay Ngee Tan, ÇokÇok in Beyoğlu’s Tepebaşı delights the eye as well as the palate with an interior space that reflects Thai customs in a style of casual chic. With its cozy lounge bar where you can spend many pleasurable hours. With its flawless and courteous service in the tradition of Far Eastern hospitality, and its modern, exotic atmosphere and extraordinarily rich and tasteful menu, ÇokÇok is a very special place indeed.

We went there with a group of friends. Atmosphere is relaxing and the location is very convenient. Although the menu looks confusing the waiters are helpful. I liked the beef pad thai as I like spicy and hot food very much. Wine list is good enough and the prices are reasonable.

We went there on January 1st, following the good ratings read on trip advisor. The food was good, I had stir fried beef with red curry, my wife the pad thai. The tastes were very close to what we could find in Thailand. We had a great evening, we will come again.Thank you '!

This place apparently has been around for seven years. It is not pure Thai but good food and good value.

As starters, we ordered spring rolls (tavuklu ve sebzeli börek ) and fish cakes (tay usulü balık köftesi ). The spring rolls were tasty but they were wrapped in relatively thick Turkish wheat flour sheets and were a bit greasy. The fish cakes on the other hand were delicious. We liked the small offering of cucumbers and onion that accompanied the sauce.

For main course, we had jumbo karidesli Mungbean noodle and grilled bass fillet (soslu ızgara levrek ). The noodles were quite good. The two giant prawns were cooked just perfect. Not dry and with a savoury and juicy texture. The bass fillet was also good but the fish sauce was a bit overused to my taste. I liked the grilled capsicum and mushroom that came with the fish on the same plate. The cold sliced green beans that came in a separate tiny bowl were also good. I thought the fish had some Turkish flavour underneath the overwhelming fish sauce influence.

We had two beers and one generous glass of passable red wine. The bill came up to 136 liras. We thought this was quite all right considering the generous servings and the ambience.

As possible improvements, I suggest they offer chopsticks as a matter of course. We had to ask. The spring rolls also should be wrapped using the right kind of sheets.

Overall it was a quick and enjoyable dinner at a reasonable cost.

Eating here at 24-12-2012.
Arriving at restaurant Cok Cok, nice energy and ambiance. Friendly staff and great designed.

Food is very good and fresh. It was great to eat here. First time but for sure not the last time. There must be two Thai restaurants in Istanbul but after discover Cok Cok I don't have any interest to find the other one.
A little Thai heaven for good experience, good priced, good service and good to go back.

See you soon.
