Mistakenly took 200 euros per room. Transaction for 200 euros is still not canceled ((although the hotel employee assured that the operation was canceled. Be careful!
in the bedside table were dirty napkins

Good: LOCATION, staff, price
Bad: Cleanliness (lack thereof), comfort, etc etc etc
Bottom line: If you can afford something a little nicer in this area/on this street, book that instead. But the location is amazing. If you will be out of the room most of the time/not staying long, it's fine.

My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights here during spring break. We booked last minute and were amazed to find something so cheap in such a great area.

The place is hard to find at first. It's next to some bigger hotels and literally 5 minutes from Ayasofya, but our cabbie had no idea where it was and kept having to get out and ask people. See if the hotel can pick you up, or get a cab to Topkapi Palace and then follow a map two or three blocks to the hotel.

The main staffer, Mashalla, is very friendly and speaks good English. He helped us book a four hour Bosphorus boat tour (do this!) and get a 12 euro pickup back to the airport at the end of the trip. He was zero help finding a way to get to the aquarium, but I'm sure he could help someone get to the main tourist spots (though honestly they're so easy to find). We're both intrepid college students so we felt better planning on our own. He told us we should've been more active (I guess cuz we're young) which was a little annoying but he is a nice guy.

The location is unbeatable. It's a few blocks from Topkapi Palace, the Blye Mosque, and Hagia Sophia. It was very easy to find our way home every night. The street also has many restaurants, and while all the guys are hustling, the food is good and no more expensive than anywhere else in the tourist areas. There's a small deli-type convenience store across the street that sold big wanter bottles for 1,5.

Breakfast was... free. I stuck to bread and the Turkish nutella equivalent.

The wifi works well enough. The stairs are like a ladder, so any room but the main floor is a bit hard with suitcases. The place is loud, you'll get used to it. The bed was very, very uncomfortable and the sheets kept coming off. No maid service, we switched out our own towels by sneaking into the linen closet next to our room. Thin blankets, small shower, bring your own shampoo. DO NOT book a basement room. We were warned by previous reviewers, but we booked so late that we couldn't avoid it.The worst part was that our bathroom STANK, getting progressively worse. The towel dryer was stuck on and it smelled like acrid pipes or something. The view out our window was pipes and such, we had to close it because a stray cat was creeping outside!

Room Tip: The stairs are a challenge and all rooms will be loud. Avoid the basement, particularly the back bas...

This Hotel has only 7 tiny rooms... 2 of them are in the basement with no windows. Our room was not on the street so very quiet. The stairs are like climbing a ladder. The rooftop breakfast room is small but never crowded, and has a great view. The Breakfast was adequate. The location is excellent if you like night life. Good restaurants and bars line the street. Close to the Blue Mosque and Topkapi. The staff (one man and one housekeeping girl) is very hospitable and friendly... like everyone in Istanbul. The price is right.

The Hotel has small but clean rooms and is situated right at the pulse of istanbuls historic center. Pillows are terrible though, so you better bring your own. Breakfast is alright (fresh bread, olives, meat, cheese and sweet stuff for the girls). Service is perfect (gives you the best advice what may be good to visit each day).
