Lovely hotel, nice and big rooms, decent breakfast, very friendly front desk.
Exact location to access Sultanahmet attractions, plenty good restaurants in the nearby.
Breakfast at the roof top with Marmara sea or the Blue Mosque views between bites of Turkish dishes are a must

My wife, 6 months old baby girl and I stayed at Ferman Hotel at Sultanahmet for 3 nights and if the Wifi was working properly (which the hotel staff did not let any chance go by without apologizing for it) the stay would have been excellent and extended as our total stay in Istanbul spanned 12 nights. The food at breakfast was very good in general and the view of the blue mosque and Aya Sophia from the top of the hotel while having breakfast was so inspiring.

Room Tip: If you are a smoker then you should go for the Sultan room as it is the only room type with a balcon...

This place had some very nice gentlemen running the front desk that made our stay so nice. Ugur and Genghis were so good to us and helpful. Would definitely stay there again if I go back to Istanbul.

this place if very nice, its settled in old town in a quiet clean and cute neighborhood. you can get to the party street for about 15 TL but they try to charge you 25-35 to get back. a quick walk to the blue mosque and post office. i would stay here again for sure. i paid about $122 USD a night, tax included and they picked me up from the airport for free which usually runs 50TL for a taxi or 40 EU for a limo. the breakfast buffet view is amazing and the food is quite nice.

Room Tip: 10% off if paying in cash

The view from the terrace and the Sultan rooms just make your trip.
The location is excellent just about 10 minutes walk from the sultanahmet tram station and 4 minutes walk from the blue mosque. The staff is nice and the breakfast is good. Room are spacious and clean.

I would stay there everytime I go to Istanbul. It gives you a taste of true istanbul.

First and foremost, the rate we booked with Ferman did offer very decent value given the size of the room and the excellent location for sightseeing in the middle of Sultanahmet. The reservation also included free airport transfer to Ataturk since we stayed for a minimum of four nights.
A few very annoying issues though were the intermittent Wi-Fi connection, an in-room safe that didn't work and an absolutely terrible breakfast buffet (as in borderline uneatable)
All in all, for the rate offered it is hard to fault Ferman but don't except anything close to a five-star international standard property. This is a good three-star hotel, period.

Room Tip: First floor rooms have a decently-sized terrace

We stayed in this hotel at the beginning & end of our 12 day trip to Turkey. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and tended to all of our needs, including changing our room from one of the downstairs, below street level rooms to one of the upstairs suites with The Blue Mosque right above our window. Spectacular view, particularly at night when the Mosque is illuminated. The staff at the front desk also recommended wonderful restaurants in perfect locations, such as under the bridge, on the water, with a free shuttle to & from our hotel. The rooftop terrace where breakfast is served overlooks the Bosphorus River on one side & on the other is the Blue Mosque & the Sultanahmet section of Istanbul. You could also go up on the terrace for a drink at night. Great views. All of the popular tourist sites are within walking distance, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, oven a shopping district. There is also, within 2 blocks, a street of restaurants with delicious & affordable meals. I would definitely stay at the Ferman Hotel if I am ever lucky enough to go to istanbul again. It gets my highest recommendation.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with this hotel, rooms on one side face the Blue Mosque and on the other side...
