“Good Location”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

It's a good location getting around the city especially that it's close to a train station and that the area is quiet. The staffs are nice and tried to be helpful in their way but service could be more improved and as well as with room quality. There are various choices of food for breakfast.

when i first came to kecik hotel i did not find hot water & i saw them making maintenance but the rest of the 7 nights the supply of hot & cold water did not stop. the bathroom was dark with just one lamp, not easy to make shave, but the main room was lightened with 3 lamps. the room size is wide enough with an excellent refrigerator made the drink cold, it's rarely found in 3 stars hotels of istanbul. the room located in inner view i considered this to make the room quite but the sound of machine working 24 hrs made it noisy. tv was old the best channel was not clear i asked the staff for the help, they immediately sent technical supporter but what he did is just calling sorry. breakfast was tasty & really different. location is very near to traffic

It quite cheep hotel in the center of Fatih, perfect if u're not so much interested in staying in hotel rooms for long time, WiFi is good, breakfast is perfect. Beside it are quite interesting places to visit, bars and spa. I luv it all the way.

The rooms are a bit old and shabby but they offer the basic needs: clean towels, sheets, hair drier, bars of soap, telephone, television and free wi-fi. They were also very noisy due to the traffic and the Mosque call at 5 in the morning. The beds are made in a very weird way, which may oblige you to make them yourself. The shower pannel was broken so the bathroom ended looking like a swimming pool. On the hand, the breakfast buffet was very poor and not very varied: cereals, toasts, ham, cheese, salad, boiled eggs and not many pastries. The service, however, was very helpful and the location is good. It takes around ten minutes to walk to Gran Bazar and around thirty to Sultanahmet. It is a correct place if you want to visit the city because you spend a lot of time out of the hotel.

In October 2011, my friend and I were 5 days in Istanbul, at hotel Kecik,in the district of Aksaray in the European part of Istanbul.
Location of the hotel it was great. With dolmus you need ten minutes to reach Taksim square in the city center. Also, you can use the tram from the hotel and go shopping in the Grand bazaar or historical tour. In the vicinity of the hotel are the Grand bazaar, hippodrome, Sultan Ahmed mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Galata Bridge, Dolmabahce Palace….
Now, about hotel. The hotel is very dirty. At the reception speak very poor English so you will have difficulty to communicate with them. Toilets in the hotel are very dirty, messy and unmaintained.
The restaurant which we used for breakfast was also quite dirty, and the food is very bad.
One of the two elevators is in a function and is very small and because of that you have to long wait in front of the elevator that you came into the room.
The rooms are also in very bed condition. Beddings, curtains, carpets, everything was very old and dirty.
But the biggest problem that we want to make all future travelers is the fact that the hotel had no water. Or was very low pressure and we somehow managed to take a shower. A hair in general we were unable to wash all 5 days. Please note that the hot water was not at all for five days.
Istanbul is a beautiful city. To all who wish to visit the city we recommend hotels in Aksaray, but certainly not staying in the hotel Kecik.

If you want to drive yourself into committing suicide, stay there.
Went in 2011 with a bunch of friends, it was a hotel included in the travel agency package. an't think of any other thing to say but a wretched day. Disgusting room, highly doubt they ever change the sheets, Terrible Bathroom, there was a leak from the ceiling every morning so you end up not being able to shower coz it's raining over it, The door lock was broken, had to share the AC remote control with my friends in the next room and it kept switching off all night long. Terrible breakfast, the staff couldn't be more rude if they try.
The location is pretty good for a walk around the area, but then again it's surrounded by hundreds of other hotels you can stay at. So ya, run while you can.
