our hotel recommend this restaurant with free car transfer, I doubt whether this is a tourism trap and find it out by paying 500 LRs! The view is not as good as we imagine, it is right under the bridge, but no view for the bridge, only the old towns with some lights. The food are 50%-100% vs. normal price even compared to some of the highest rating fine dining restaurant. One standard meat or fish course is around 30-40 LRs and the cheapest wine is 100 LRs. And the food is just normal, very average without any surprise. Please avoid this if you got recommendation from your hotel.

Before reaching Istanbul, I have read from forums that some restaurants in Istanbul are notorious for putting things that you did not order in the bill and hope that customers just pay without checking as they write out the bill in Turkish.

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for a late night dinner. All seemed great - great view, friendly owner, and I have to say the food was pretty good too, except for the fries that came with my fish. They were soggy and cold. The owner asked how the food was and I told him frankly that the fries were soggy and cold. He offered to change the fries. I said no more fries for me and requested for pilaf to replace the fries instead. He said not a problem. The pilaf came, AND so did the fries. We were still very impressed with the service so far.

Until the bill came, and these two items were included in the bill, in turkish of course. When we asked the waiter what these items were, he told us fires and pilaf that we have eaten. We said the owner offered us the replacement as the original fries were soggy. He keep repeating. "You eat, you pay. I need the money now" . We asked to speak to the owner to clarify but he claimed the owner had already left. Boyfriend gave him the money minus the fries and rice and told the waiter that that is the amount we are willing to pay. The waiter took the money and slam it on the table and glared at us. Boyfriend stood up to leave. The waiter delivered a kick at boyfriend and a fight nearly broke out. The owner suddenly appeared out of nowhere and tried to appease the heated argument.

Moral of the story: Nothing is free in Istanbul! I guess most people don't ask what are on their bills. If we didn;t, we may assume a better experience.

We were recommended by the hotel. It was a good choice. There are so many restaurants under the Galata bridge that we had to fight our way through! . We were looked after by the owner Ahmet, a very nice man and a very good young waiter who speaks excellent English. The mezze was amongst the best we have had so far, the seabass was good, the calamari a bit chewy. The Turkish sauvignon wine fine but a little overpriced. The position and view is excellent. Overall we had a most enjoyable evening, we ate very well and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant which is under the Galata bridge and offers a nice view of the Golden Horn strait on one side and the Bosphorus strait on the other. There are lovely views of the Hajia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace from here. Even at night it is lovely because these are lit, and you can also watch the ferries from a window view.
A plus was the free shuttle to the restaurant from the hotel !
We enjoyed an eggplant appetizer (mezes) then a course of a gigantic shrimp each with accompanying veg tastes. Entree was a fresh bream grilled and filted tableside. It was delicious. The salad and veggies were fresh and tasty. We also got a bottle of Turkish red wine that was actually good. Our waitor was very friendly and accomodating. Seemed truly interested that we have an enjoyable time.
We ended up spending about 90 USD per person, but considering the free shuttle and the wine (highly taxed in Turkey) we didn't mine. Would highly recommend.
