I'm certainly slow in reviewing this wonderful small hotel near all the sights in the old town. (I stayed in October 2009.) Not only is the location convenient, the hotel itself has clean nicely designed spacious rooms. I stayed in a "double deluxe." It was bright with three windows, flat panel TV, a desk, mini-bar and what appeared to be a real queen size bed. The bathroom was not large but was certainly more than adequate. There was always plenty of hot water in the shower.
Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was also something to look forward to. The food was plentiful and fresh. Just being able to start your day with a view made it a treat.
What makes the place a great place to stay is the staff. Fatih at the front desk was always there with a smiling face and personality to match. As busy as he was, he always had time to chat, ask about your day and help anyway he could. At one point when he had lent his laptop to another guest, he let me use the computer behind the reception desk to check a couple emails. Amazing! Likewise, the other staff were equally pleasant and helpful.
Istanbul is a fantastic place and the Osmanhan is the place to stay.More
