... to explore Istanbul. I was travelling with friends, on our way to Nepal. We stopped in Istanbul for just 2 nights in order to see a few of the famous sights and get a feel for the city. I had never been there before. I chose the Osmanhan based on Trip Advisor reviews. It richly deserves the glowing reviews it has received. It's a fantastic place - beautiful rooms, perfect location, impeccable service, and the most helpful, friendly staff I've ever experienced. It fits the definition of a boutique hotel perfectly. They have carefully reviewed different tour and event options, and their recommendations are very good - completely trustworthy. When we arrived, bleary-eyed and disoriented from our long flight, the owner/manager did not just describe how to get to the nearest ATM and give us a map with the location clearly marked, he sent his nephew with us to show us the way!

Room Tip: I had a deluxe room on the 4th floor. I can highly recommend it - a bit bigger with a nice view. My...

We stayed one night on the recommendation of friends. We were very happy with our choice. As soon as we walked into the lobby, we were offered a cup of tea and a visit with the staff. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and very quaint, with views of the street below. The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied, and was served on the terrace on white linen tablecloths. Hamit and the rest of the staff were very gracious and helpful, which made us feel valued and as if we were more than just customers.

The hotel is a must-stay while in the old city. The rooms are perfect for a vacation, where you spend little time in your room.

The service rivals that of a huge hotel. They will answer all your questions, give you advice, and do whatever they can to make your trip perfect.

With only 7 rooms, you feel as though you're their only concern.

The free breakfast was delicious each morning and had plenty of options.

The only negative is the hotel transfers. They cost 30 euros (currently 90+ TL). Skip this and take a taxi. Our taxi back to the airport was just as nice as the transfer van to the hotel and was only 40 TL. Even with traffic a taxi will be less than 50TL. There's a taxi stand 2 blocks from the hotel and a cab will be there in less than a minute. Save the 40-50 TL from the transfer price and do something else.

Everything else was perfect!!!

A lovely little hotel in an excellent location, just a few minutes from the big sites in old Istanbul-easy walking to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and beyond, yet tucked away. Our room was immaculate, with an exceptionally comfortable bed, much needed after walking round the city. Very good breakfast in a lovely, light rooftop room with terrace and sea views, and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.

This hotel is a gem. The service was friendly and extremely helpful. Location is in the middle of the old quarter, so easy acess to Blue Mosque and other sites. Went to a recommendation from the hotel for dinner, around the corner, and the food was to die for. Rooms very comfortable and quiet but with heaps of character. Don't pass up this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room higher up to get the view

Great location right in the heart of Sultanhamet, round the courner from the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace: indeed, a strategical position to discover Istanbul.
We enjoyed the fact that it is not a huge hotel: a reasonable number of rooms and therefore people.
Staff was lovely and always happy to give a hand.
Our room was very clean and tidy.
My personal tip: take some time off and enjoy the magnificent view on the Bosphorus from the hotel terrace.
We'll definitely come back in our next trip to Istanbul. Cheers

My husband and I, plus another couple stayed in this hotel at the weekend for 2 nights while visiting Istanbul from London. We booked the hotel because of the great reviews on trip adviser and was not disappointed. The hotel owner was really friendly, offering us lots of tips and adviser on what to do, where to eat etc.

The hotel itself was very clean and in a great location for exploring. It's a 5 min walk to the blue mosque and 10min talk to lots of the other sites. It's also just of a main road which has lots of nice places to eat.

I would definitely recommend the hotel to everyone to stay in and would return again.

Room Tip: We loved Tria Elegance restaurant which the hotel recommended and would recommended to everyone else...
