Vegetarian food in Turkey is plentiful but it is nice to have a dedicated vegetarian restaurant. Parsifal is a really cute little place off of Istiklal street. The menu is quite extensive and all of it tasty. In particular, the dolmas with the tomato and yogurt sauce were to die for!

Parsifal is a cute vegetarian restaurant (with many vegan options... And possibly one chicken option?) a few blocks from Taksim square in downtown Istanbul. It is perfect in every way- the restaurant is well decorated and looks and smells very clean, the music is chill (we heard some Turkish stuff, some Radiohead, Goldfrapp, etc), the menu is easy to understand, the wait staff outgoing and attentive (with perfect English), and the food was the best I've had during a week's stay in Turkey.

Their hours are hard to find; like most restaurants in Istanbul, they serve dinner till 11 pm. We arrived at the tail end of their dinner hours, and they had run out of a few items on the menu.

Plan to stay for dessert; the tea is served in a cute coffee press, and the milk pudding is delicious.

My husband and I are both vegetarians, who love travelling around the world. We loved the fact that vegetarian food in Turkey was plentiful and delicious. Before we travelled, we had checked out Tripadvisor, which had good reviews for another place closeby. As we were trying to find it, we chanced on Parsifal. Decided to take a chance and went in. Lovely, lovely place - the corn bread is to die for - so warm and home-baked, we could eat it all day ! We then ordered one of the specials - it had a lovely assortment of Turkish vegetarian food - all of which was superbly yummy. The best part was the number of options we had that were authentic, not your typical pasta-sandwich type veggie places. The owner is very nice and we had an absolutely lovely experience. We went back again, turns out it is closed on a Sunday. This is a must visit if you are in the city, vegetarian or not. We need to come back to Istanbul just to eat here again !

We've visited Parsifal with 6 persons. It is a vegetarian restaurant
, the food was simple but very nice! It was a welcome (healthy) variation after having so much Turkish food. Especially the orange cake for dessert. It was about ?72 for 6 persons, very good price for the food.
