“5 mins walk to Blue Mosque/Hagia Sofia/Topkapi/grand Bazaar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

The rating would be 3 (average) but for the fabulous location.

I stayed at The Antioch Hotel which is opposite this but part of the same hotel. I paid £277 for 5 nights. It is in a brilliant location being 5 mins from the Bosphorous, Blue Mosque, all bazaars, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace. Because of the location, it was very good value. However it is very basic.

A clean room, very small bathroom which is a bit tired and dated, it is an ideal location for those on a budget. Others i researched were twice the price. So if you just want somewhere clean in a fabulous location, you could do worse than this hotel. The staff were very friendly.

A very good base and good value at the above price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel to avoid the street noise.

For this price you can't get better hotel in the city centre. We had the double-room in the fourth floor - large, calm and clean, only widnows lead to the airshaft. The stuff is unbeleavably pleasant, the service more the you expect. The breakfast is good as well. We spend there 5 nights.

I was here to start a tour and spent one night in a single room and then 2 nights in a twin share. The single room was really small but was clean but was loud in the morning as it was above the breakfast. The twin room was like a completely different hotel, much nicer. The location is great and the girl on reception was magnificent in helping out with day tour plans. The only thing we were really disappointed with was the exorbitant price we were charged for laundry. Don't get the hotel to arrange laundry, $37 AUD for about 10 items is outrageous. Such a shame!

The hotel is ok for the price. The location is very central, it is easy to get from the hotel to the main attractions.
However, the owner also possesses the hotel across the street (hotel Antioch) which is in very poor condition compared to hotel Atay. Be careful when you book the room not to be in this one where there are leaks in the bathrooms. The rooms for three are so small, there is no room between the double bed and the single bed (it actually looks like a three-person bed!)

We stayed in Antioch Hotel for 5 days in April 2013. Very friendly staff, nice rooms with comfortable beds. The breakfast is average but more than enough when you come to the city to wonder and enjoy its atmosphere but not sit in the room. Location is wondreful: 10 min from Ayasofia and Blue Mosque, 10 min from Eminonu quay. Near to the hotel - Cafe Mese and Addrress Bar. Nice places, good drinks. Best value!

nice hotel in appropriate location nearby to all the important sites and restaurants . The person in the receptions are helpful in giving the info and smiling in nature.
close-by to the tram stations. From the airport, it will take 40 mins if you take metro and tram (cost around 2 euros. And taxi cost around 15- 20 euros.

The room are clean but the toilets are small in size.
The breakfast was good with good amount of variety.

for 3-4 days its a perfect place and not much expensive..

we stayed in hatay hotel for four nights. If I go to Istanbul next year I would go to this hotel. Friendly staff, clean and new rooms. Sheets have been changed every day. Very good breakfast. Even they were very nice on the day we departed and had our very early breakfast very special. thanks for your nice attitude and fair price.

Room Tip: "Higher floors have less A/C unit noise
