I have now stayed here twice and I love the place. The staff are amazing!! Very helpful and friendly. The hostel is in a great location and is walking distance from most of the major sights. The rooms and bathrooms are really clean. They have a great bar and the food is amazing and well priced. I would recommend this to anyone who visit Istanbul. I can't see this being the last time I will stay here. Just brilliant!!!

The Sultan ıs a great hostel ın a great locatıon of Istanbul - Sultanahmet. It ıs a 5 mınute walk from both the Blue Mosque and Hagıa Sophıa, and also 2 tram stops from Grand Bazaar. The Golden Horn and Bosphorus and Spıce Bazaar are also a few tram stops ın the other dırectıon. The hostel ıtself was great, great vıbe and frıendly staff especıally Erhan, he made the stay. Sultanahmet ıs very busy at nıght wıth people and traffıc so brıng earplugs for sleepıng, the locals stay out very late. Hostel was great value and ıncluded breakfast. Sheesha ıs also avaılable!!!

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the street.

The localization of the hostel couldn't be better, really close to Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia.
Clean rooms and bathrooms.
At the restaurant, also the food is really good and cheap.
The included breakfast, which has bread, corn flakes, tomatoes, cucumber and more, is also good.
By night, it gets really cheerful, with good music playing.
The best part of it was the staff, not only from the hostel but also from bar and restaurant. They were really kind, always helpful and nice.
We had a really good time there, I highly recommend it.

I stayed here two nights but spent most of three days in the area. This hostel was a lot of fun for a couple of reasons. 1. They stay open the latest out of the whole street and 2. They have a really chill, open patio that extends to the bar. The bartender, Gabriela, was really great. She works hard, stops long enough to listen, talk, and joke around about your travels, but she also keeps things very organized when it gets crazy. The servers that night, who all seemed to be younger guys, were more forward than I would have liked. I was talking at the bar, waiting for my drink and one of the servers approached me and ran his finger across my lips. Not cool. The waitstaff needs to be more professional.
That was my only complaint. I thought the food was great, their beer is the cheapest on that street and the nightlife is a lot of fun, plus it's just a little walk or a quick tram ride to some of the most attended tourist attractions in Istanbul (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Spice Market, Grand Bazaar...). I'd still recommend it, but not to women traveling alone. Tone down the masculinity in that place!

Room Tip: I stayed on one of the top floors in a dorm room and it was great because no one was there. Slept l...

We stayed in a double room with an ensuite for 3 nights. As Australians it was a but confronting not being able to flush toilet paper, but we got used to it and it was the case all over turkey. The bathroom is a wet room, so the shower water gets everywhere including all over the toilet and toilet paper so make sure you don't have anything in there you don't want wet. There is no lift, so if you have heavy bags you may be in for some hard work. The breakfast is included and is made up of cucumber, tomato, cheese, olives, bread and cordial like fruit juice. Coffee and tea are also available. Check in and out went smoothly, we even paid in euros. The room, though small was fine for €30 each per night. Just get the aircon remote from reception. I wouldn't recommend eating at the restaurant it is overpriced and not very good. There are better options across the street. The atmosphere was friendly and the location is amazing. You definitely get what you pay for.

Room Tip: A double room with ensuite.
