“Excellent Guest Relation Service, Fantastic Location, Highly Recommended for Business or Leasure,”
Reviewed September 17, 2010

For our First visit to Istanbul,Titanic City Hotel was recommended among other hotels by our travel Agent. We selected the Titanic City Hotel, based on the reviews, the location and the price.
"Excellent choice" was our agent's comment.
We are not disappointed at all. In fact we are glad to share our good experience.

We arrived at the Hotel frustrated after a long wait at the airport for our luggage that was missing. While sitting in the lobby upon arrival, an elegant lady with a bright smiling face approched us and introduced herself as the hotel guests relations officer. Ipek Gunes, immediately realized we have a problem as we looked tired and frustrated, she asked if she can do anything to help.
Once she realized what happened, she immediately was on the phone contacting the airport, the airline company, travel agent etc.
Our luggage that was supposed to arrive a couple of hours later in the next flight never arrived.
Since then, every hour, she was on the phone trying to locate our lost luggage and updates us on her findings & reassuring us. Every morning she greets us with her lovely smile "Don't worry" enjoy yourself, have a good day. I am confident I will find your luggage very soon.
We consulted her on places to visit, restaurants, shopping venues and directions. Her recommendations and guidance were fantastic as the restaurents she recommended were excellent, very good food at very reasonable prices. She highlighted on the city map she provided, simple, easy and clear directions on how to get there using public transport.
As a matter of fact we spent the whole Holiday without luggage and we had to do with only the few items we had in our carrry on.
However, Ipeck's assistance, continuous support and encouragment made our stay much more ejoyable, relaxing and made us forget our lost luggage which was found still sitting waiting for us at the airport of our departure.

The hotel provided excellent value in a good location near Taksim Square. Taksim features lots of restaurants, bars and shopping and is a lively place any time of the day or night. The hotel is located close to metro if you want to travel to the touristic sights; this is a real plus as the metro is 2 minutes away from the Hotel. The Hotel was clean, modern. Staffs in general were friendly; however, I would certainly always remember the nice lady at the Guest Service Desk, Miss Ipek Güneş. She is very friendly, very helpful and has lots of information about every sight which you might think of visiting. She speaks very good English and she is very generous with her information and time . I would say that Miss Ipek made our stay in Titanic and Istanbul special ,because of her help we were able to go almost everywhere without having to have a tour guide with us.
The rooms are comfortable, with A/C and TV. The free wireless Internet access in the hotel was very welcome. The Breakfast buffet was very good. I will sure recommend this hotel for friends and family if they choose to stay in the Taksim area in Istanbul

The hotel is located in a fantastic place, it is literally a five minute walk to Taksim Square and the Metro station. The hotel is clean and tidy, breakfast is average and i would recommend probably eating somewhere outside as their are alot of restuarants in the area.

We used the Metro to go everywhere, it is easy to use and goes nearly everywhere. Once we made a mistake of taking a taxi to a shopping mall which cost 45 lira (22pounds) on the way back we only paid 1.50lira (75pence) on the metro which was one line to Taksim Square.

The only bad thing about the hotel in my opinion and Turkey in general is the lack of English spoken. The hotel front staff seemed to speak OK english but the cleaning sstaff and conceirge did not.

If I ever went to Istanbul again (probably not) would stay at this hotel.

Oh and i wouldn't use the swimming pool it was really dirty.

I have stayed at many hotels in Istanbul and this one is surely one of the best value for money. This part of Taksim is very popular among Arab, Indian and Asian toursist and some hotels seem catering only for these markets. But titanic had more inernational and business hotel feel with no dominant market which is important for me personally.
I have stayed at this property years ago when it was Aygün hotel but now its transformed into much nicer place. Rooms are great, we stayed on the 9th floor and had nice views of the city. Only complaint would be that it was bit on the small side although we requested a larger room ( I know they have larger rooms). But design wise its excellent and tastefully decorated. Well it is designed by the same company that designed Four seasons, Ritz carlton, Mövenpick, Sofa Hotel etc. so I expected it anyways. Bathrooms are especially awesome. Roof bar is nice with a small view of the Bosphorus. Breakfast buffet was nice, nothing exceptional but good enough for a 4 star hotel. Staff was helpfull at all times and professional. Except the terrible Spa staff which one could clearyl see that it is outsourced. Pool was also not the cleanest which we complained to the Guest relations manager as it is unacceptable, hope they take better care of it.
So overall a great city hotel, good location, beautifully appointed rooms, efficient staff, average breakfast and unfortunately bad spa.
