We were there Jan 2013 and found the hotel to be clean, room spacious, staff friendly and in easy walking distance to the young vibey part of Istanbul. They have chairs just outside hotel to cater for smokers - at least you can sit, relax and watch the passersby.

I stayed here as part of my tour through Turkey. I found the staff very friendly and they spoke English well. The hotel is not in the old city but its very close to a taksim square where there is plenty of shopping and restaurants. I had a great room very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. Great breakfast.

Overall, a friendly hotel which has a fragmentary 4 star service. Stayed for 4 days in April 2013. It fails to meet what has become the international standard of a hotel where it is possible arrive any time of day or night and go straight to a comfortable night's sleep. The biggest problem is the very stuffy bedrooms. They are designed so air must be circulated by the central air-conditioning. But this is switched off for the winter and will not be re-started until 1st of May whatever. The end result is a very stuffy room, especially for two or more people. Because we like to breathe this alone is enough to bar the hotel from an international 4 star status. The absence of air conditioning is common in the winter months in many hotels in many countries but they do not aspire to an international 4 star status in a major city. There is no available blackout of the rooms for those who arrive at odd times
We found the staff to be very friendly but their proficiency in English left much to be desired. We found ourselves in broad agreement with the comments made elsewhere about the restaurants. A very good breakfast but for the rest mixed at best. The Taksim Square neighborhood was a lively one but the hotel is far from the ancient areas most tourists want to visit, especially far at rush hour. And this covers most of the day. As to view rooms. These cost extra. When asleep it does not matter much that the view is of the adjacent hotel's blank wall an arm's length away.
It is quite expensive for what it supplies. Yes, I would stay there again but realize its many limitations. It's relative rating by Trip Advisor seemed essentially correct.

Stayed for about five days on family holiday. Located in a touristy area with restaurants, shops and the walking (shopping) street nearby. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Wifi was free and worked very well. Staff were very courteous and friendly. The hotel accommodated a request for a very early check-in on arrival by about 6 hours. I lost both the room keys oneday when I was out in the city - the staff replaced the keys without a murmur.
Breakfast has a good spread. But the restaurants (two of them) and the coffee shop do not offer much by way of lunch/dinner. If you are travelling as part of a large group and if lunch/dinner is part of the package you have a buffet spread. If you are travelling without a package then a very restricted a-la-carte menu is available. But with many eating places just outside the Hotel you have plenty of choices. I would vote for the location and the friendly services.
