I have to say this is now my favourite hotel. Everything about this hotel is fabulous.
The staff are incredibly helpful with anything you may need. All the restaurants that were recommended were great....Changa (only a short walk from the hotel) is one I would highly recommend. Our open plan spotlessly clean suite was spacious and modern with well designed furniture . We had lots of natural light from the four large windows in our suite that opened on to small balconies. We looked forward to returning to our suite every night and to the chocolate cupcakes left in our room ( a very nice touch). The included breakfast was delicious and you could either eat in the breakfast room or have it brought to your suite. The location in the Beyoglu neighbourhood was perfect for us. We could walk to Taksim and to Istiklal Caddesi -the major shopping street full of shops, restaurants and bars. The tram station was just a short walk down the hill that would take us to Sultanhamet . We could also walk to Istanbul Modern -the museum of modern art. I have to say that we felt very safe walking in this neighbourhood even late at night. With such a great location, amazing staff and a beautifully designed hotel, why stay anywhere else.

We stayed at the W the first night we arrived in Istanbul and our friend requested that we should try Witts and we did. We stayed there two nights and loved it. It is mins' walk away from public transport and is in a quite nighbourhood. The rooms and the common areas had all you could expect out of a design hotel. Our room was very spacious and was equipped with an open kitchen. I expect another longer stay next next we visit beautiful Istanbul.

We loved this inconspicuous hotel perched on a hill in the Cihangir neighbourhood. The staff on the front desk - John and Aykut were very helpful. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast spread. Our spacious corner room (# 52) had a fabulous view. We enjoyed the rainfall shower, the little kitchen area, the Witt slippers and the possibility of having breakfast delivered to our room (at no added expense). The AC wasn't working well (it was Nov. but still warm) and there were mosquitoes if we opened the window, so that was a bit of a drag. Otherwise, a find!

The rooms at the Witt were amazing- really well designed rooms with beautiful furniture, great clean bathrooms with Molton Brown toiletries. A great buffet breakfast was included in a lovely breakfast room. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The area is interesting and at the chaotic end of the Istanbul spectrum, but close to some lovely restaurants and the Istanbul Modern. Highly recommended.

We spent 4 nights of our honeymoon in the Witt Istanbul suites. With the build up to the wedding, we hadn't managed to do much research into Istanbul, apart from booking this hotel, which was the best thing we could have done. The staff were amazing, their recommendations were perfect for both dinner and day activities, especially Aykut's recommendation for our special dinner out. As for the hotel, the location is great, the breakfasts were out of this world and the room was lovely, we could not have wanted for more. I would recommend booking this hotel, and then arranging everything else once you arrive . .

We stayed in the Executive Penthouse Suite at the Witt Suites in early December and have booked again to return this year. Not sure how I forgot to leave a review for such an amazing hotel, but better late than never.

The top floor penthouse is absolutely fabulous. It has a wrap around balcony with deck chairs and a dining setting for late night drinks and relaxing (whilst watching the sunset over the Bosphoros and call to prayer) or morning breakfast in the sunshine.

The size is huge by any standard. The bed - a super king - is so big you could get lost in it. It is incredibly comfortable too, with fresh crisp white sheets. The decor is fantastic - think scandanavian/swedish uber trendy design in high quality finishes. Everything has been thought of in the room for your comfort and enjoyment. Even an evening snack which is brought in when the rooms are made up for you.

The minibar is very well stocked and reasonably priced, though there is a supermarket just a block away and loads of cafes and eateries nearby.

The breakfast is great, ordered the night before and delivered for you to enjoy in your room (or you can have it downstairs if preferred).

We have had 2 sets of friends stay in a sea view suite and they said these were also extremely large and appointed with the same top quality finishes and thoroughly enjoyed it.

On our last night, we had to change to the other penthouse (slightly smaller and cheaper) as the one we had been staying in was pre-booked. This too was fantastic with a large balcony and great pressure shower. We certainly weren't dissapointed.

Location-wise the hotel is a short walk to taxim and all the bustling activity (around 10 or 12 minutes). It is a very short walk downhill to the main road with tram stop which takes you anywhere - Sultanahmet, Istiklal etc (between 5-7 minutes). Only word of warning is if you try and walk back up the hill, it is a significant incline-so we were always exhausted by that stage of the day and took a cab.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Istanbul. The outlook from the rooms is very mystical, particularly at dusk. We always stayed on the balcony enjoying the sunset, then headed out for a later meal. The hotel is so good, you need to make a conscious effort to leave. Fortunately in Istanbul there is no shortage of amazing places to visit, so this makes it a little easier.

I would certainly recommend this over staying in the more touristy areas, such as Sultanahmet. It is much nicer to be able to head out there for a day of site seeing them return 'home' where the restaurants nearby and setting is much more authentic and less gymicky.

We've not found a hotel like this elsewhere and are planning to return for a relaxing stay at the hotel!

Witt Istanbul Suites has an excellent location within walking distance from Istanbul's business district, Istanbul Modern museum and the buzzing bars and boutiques of both Beyoglu and Cihangir. All 15 suites span a generous 60m2. They are popular for long-stay guests as each has a Carrera marble-clad kitchenette with microwave, fridge and Nespresso machine. The super-cool beds with curved headboards and the laptop desks have been especially designed for Witt Istanbul Suites by Autoban. Sheets and towels were also commissioned from Denizli, a famous purveyor of Turkish linen. Cable TV, an excellent DVD collection, ipod docks and a welcome gift of multi-coloured macaroons are indulgent touches. But it's the bathrooms that make these suites really special. The ergonomic Corian sinks with pebble-shaped handles and the cluster of shower-heads that create a cocoon of misty hot water are all from designer Ross Lovegrove's Istanbul collection from Vitra. ... more   less
