“A really great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

We just came back for a three days trip to Istanbul. We are absolutely thrilled by Witt Hotel. We had booked a panoramic view on the 4th floor and it was worth every single Euro we paid for this. The view was just incredible to Agia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Galata Bridge. The decoration of the room is really tasteful. Breakfast is served at the small lobby and is very good quality indeed.
The location of the Hotel is really convenient as it is very close to the tram line so you can easily access the old city where most of the interesting sights exist.
Finally we were very impressed by the high personalized service of the hotel staff. During our stay they were very attentive and helpful with our requests.
We are looking forward to coming back to your lovely hotel!!!

Room Tip: Worth the extra price for the higher floor panoramic view rooms

Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

However, if you're after a big hotel, with big hotel trappings then this isn't the place for you...

The hotel is lying in an interesting area of the city, and has an anonymous look from the outside. Once inside you feel a relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. The room was delicate, clean and very comfortable. The AC heated the room very fast and was easy to adjust. It vas a corner room with four French balconies, and even though the room was on the first floor it had partial view to the historic monuments in Sultanamet. Everything in the room and common areas was made in good taste, modern but not flashy style and in perfect condition. The breakfast was good and the service excellent. The hotel provided transportation from and back to the airport bye a very helpful and friendly driver. All in all, the hotel can be highly recommended, for business stays or for holidays.

Our stay in the WITT Istanbul Suites was outstanding. We stayed in town in end of Jan. for two nights. Due to the fact of heavy snowfalls in Austria we arrived one day later than expected and moreover very late in the night. The warm welcome of the Anil made us forgetting the troubles of the long trip. We enjoyed our welcome drink in our really big, superclean and very tasteful designed room - with the best view to Istanbul´s old town. During the whole stay the staff was great. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the room - you can really order everything your heart desires - delicious. The location of the hotel is top. If you are fit enough, you can visit most of the hot spots on foot. We are looking forward for our next stay in the WITT!

Room Tip: Try to catch a corner suite with view to the Bosporus and Old Town!

My wife and I visited Istanbul for the first time and totally enjoyed our stay at Witt. We travel a lot and this is arguably one of the best boutique hotels we've stayed at. The sizeable and stylish room, with the well appointed kitchenette and a small sitting area, is better than most international luxury brand hotels. Breakfast was simple but well prepared. Most importantly, all the staffs were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about restaurants and clubs within the vicinity. The location may be a bit off for business travelers but it is perfect for tourists as it is within 10 to 15 min walk to Galata Bridge, Taksim Square and Istiklal. Also just a 5 min walk to Tophane tram stop (albeit down quite a steep road).

We narrowly chose the Witt Istanbul over the comparable-but-slightly-more-expensive TomTom Suites - and we were so glad we did.

Before even arriving, the hotel graciously handled a package that was sent from our hotel in Bodrum, updating me as soon as the package arrived. Service at the hotel continued to be top notch with the exception of a forgotten call for a cab on the day of our departure (perhaps they wanted us to stay an extra night?)

Upon arrival, a glass of our wine of choice was promptly delivered to our spacious room. Indeed, the suite itself was full of modern amenities, including the single best shower I have ever enjoyed in my entire life (see pictures). Cleanliness and

While the hotel did offer breakfast, we fell in love with nearby Van Kahvalti Evi - the source of multiple delicious breakfasts.

Very close proximity to major sites in Beygolu and public transit was a big plus as well.

The ONLY complaint was the extraordinarily difficult-to-climb hill that we tackled on a daily basis. But since you're eating so much good food in Istanbul, there's no reason to fret from a little exercise.

This hotel is located on a steep hill one way street. I would concur with Ron Lim, it is actually not in a rather convenient location. Then again, this is Turkey and the old town is just too big to be convenient anywhere. Don't forget, you're still in a developing country with taxi drivers who are willing to get you on a huge round up before the actual location!

The rooms are well equipped and I would think a bar within the room (in an Islamic country without easy access to alcohol) is rather silly. Yeah, I know it is catered for international travelers.... but seriously? Who would want to make their own fancy cocktails when you're supposed to be served one?

This made the room rather big since there was a pantry bar catered for. Which I thought was a strange waste of precious revenue space. But hell, I am not complaining. The showers are a bit of a try hard though. Too fancy wares with strange fittings just scream the wrong attention but yes, the Molten Brown is a nice welcome.

The young dude at the front desk is extremely helpful and precise in his recommendations. He warned us about the rip off cabbies too.

The breakfast bar is nice too with eggs done accordingly to your preference. Overall a great place to be in a rustic city like Turkey.

Witt Istanbul Suites has an excellent location within walking distance from Istanbul's business district, Istanbul Modern museum and the buzzing bars and boutiques of both Beyoglu and Cihangir. All 15 suites span a generous 60m2. They are popular for long-stay guests as each has a Carrera marble-clad kitchenette with microwave, fridge and Nespresso machine. The super-cool beds with curved headboards and the laptop desks have been especially designed for Witt Istanbul Suites by Autoban. Sheets and towels were also commissioned from Denizli, a famous purveyor of Turkish linen. Cable TV, an excellent DVD collection, ipod docks and a welcome gift of multi-coloured macaroons are indulgent touches. But it's the bathrooms that make these suites really special. The ergonomic Corian sinks with pebble-shaped handles and the cluster of shower-heads that create a cocoon of misty hot water are all from designer Ross Lovegrove's Istanbul collection from Vitra. ... more   less
