I moved to this hotel from a really bad 3 star hotel close by. The Eser hotel looks amazing on the website and when I arrived I was very impressed with the building. The security guard who was built like a brick out-house stared at me every time a walked past him which made me very uncomfortable!
The room itself was OK but definitely not 5 star although maybe it used to be. It was clean enough but was a bit tired in places. The bathroom had some grubby corners which is all down to careless finishing.
My 2 biggest problems were slow internet connection (both wired and WiFi) and the room cleaning service. The tissues in the bathroom were not replaced during the 3 nights that I stayed, and the toilet brush handle came off in my hand! I pushed it back on but realised that it needed replacing so I put it on the floor to make it obvious to the cleaner that it was broken. But when I came back to the room I found that the cleaner had just lightly pushed the handle back on - Of course it came off again in my hand!
the breakfast was good although the staff were not very attentive. The hotel lobby was beautiful and inviting.
I would stay there again but would make sure the room was OK and report any issues within 10 minutes of arrival.More
