We stayed for three nights in Adamar Hotel. Due to a strike we had to delay our arrivial by one day - and the hotel didn't charge us for that. We received the pick-up at the Airport service - quite convenient.
The hotel room (5th floor) was very small, but nicely decorated and offered a view on Bosperus, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia. I recommend to ask for a nice view - then you get a room on a higher floor if available. The bathroom is as well not very big, but properly equiped with a nice rain fall shower.
The breakfast room / restaurant is located on the sixth floor and offers fantastic round view on Istanbul. Especially in the evening for a dinner really nice. But as well in the morning for breakfast when the city comes out of the morning dust and you sit in the rising sun a very good start in the day.
Breakfast is a mixture of turkish and western, you get all you need. Dinner is really delicious, but of course you should try as well all the other nice restaurants and kebaps around.
The staff is very friendly, especially the manager at the reception and the guy carriying your luggage and bringing you to your room was very kind.
Location of the hotel is ideal vor visiting the main attractions from Istanbul, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi are all in walking distance, but as well the tram station is close by as is the harbour / ferry boats to bring you to the asian part.
Highly recommended, we will come back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the fifth floor, rooms 501 and 502 (bigger room) offer great views.

A good hotel that is so centrally located and is close to the most beautiful places. The hotel has a very nice and helpful staff that makes sure that the guests get on well with them. The restaurant is located high up and gives the opportunity to enjoy the view.

As some of the other reviews have mentioned the room was rather small but provided everything we needed... ie a bed! The location and the staff of this hotel are what sells it. It is perfectly placed for sightseeing in the Old City, everything is within walking distance, lovely shops and plenty of restaurants around! The staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. Good value and highly recommend if you're only looking for a place to rest your weary head!! :)

The Adamar Hotel is located perfectly within walking distance of everything in Old town Istanbul with the roof top view that is probably second to none. The staff are outstanding especially managers - Mousa and Halil. They were very helpful and arranged all my off site trips efficiently. They even made sure that I got some breakfast before leaving on a 6 am day trip to Troy. Wonderful experience, Highly recommended.

Although the bedroom was rather small, it was clean and comfortable. There was a shower but no bath.It got warm at night because the minibar was in an unventilated cupboard and gave off a lot of heat. There was no safety catch on the window. The plain walls would benefit from some nice pictures or photos. It was reasonably quiet at night.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The views from the sixth floor restaurant were magical (especially at night) and the food was good and not too expensive.

The hotel was very convenient for seeing Topkapi Palace, Aghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.

Stayed here for 6 days in March with friends. There was a warm welcome when we arrived and we were treated very well for the rest of our stay. All staff were friendly and helpful. The views from the rooftop terrace are stunning. from here you can watch the people of Istanbul go about their business. It is also a great place to relax at the end of a busy day sightseeing. There is a panoramic view of the city but your gaze tends to be fixed towards the view of the water which has bookends of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Rooms were clean, comfortable and recently refurbished. Reception staff were exceptionally helpful with travel information and organisation.

we had a great stay at the Adamar hotel in February . The breakfast room offers wonderful views on the city and breakfast offers a wide choice of very good items. tel in February. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. One day we were having difficulties to book bus tickets to Edirne on the internet and the receptionist took them with his own credit card ! We will definitely stay there again as we travel to Istanbul almost every year.
