The Adamar Hotel in Istanbul is located so nicely in the Sultanhamet district, that you can litterally walk to the Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia and the Basilica in less than five minutes.

The tram station is also very near.

Walking upstreet you will find many eateries with much lower prices and better food than the restaurants downstreet toward the Mosque.

Rooms are modern and functional, though they are very small.

Bed was very hard and short, but reception helped sort out this issue. There's aircon, toiletries and a minibar in the room with space for your own stuff, but no hairdryer.

Breakfast extremely nice and fresh made, with both Turkish and Continental things, especially the Feta cheese was good. There were good and diabetic friendly options, as well as non-diabetic options.

Staff are very friendly and efficient. No problems with anything at all, and they helped us with everything we required.

View from the restaurant (same used for breakfast) as well as the roof top terrace above were outstanding. Had a view of all Istanbul and more.

I'd recommend the hotel transport service to/from Atatürk airport, as it is slightly cheaper than what you can buy on arrival in the airport.

All in all, this is a high quality, no-frills boutique hotel in the heart of Istanbul.

Room Tip: Stayed on the fourth floor. No noise at all.

Great location and all the historical sites within easy walking distance. Close to metro so travelling further afield, eg to Turks Telekom Arena, was also easy to do even if you do need to use metro, funnicular and underground. All staff extremely helpful but the best feature of all was the panoramic rooftop terrace. Nearby restaurants and bars all brill and everybody was very welcoming.

Room Tip: Ask for a twin corner or family room as bigger than others

many folks have given reviews of this great little gem citing the location, which is steps away from all the major sites, but staying there in october we encountered a staff who were eager to make phone calls setting up tours and theatre tickets for us and checking on the details of some tours we had already made before leaving Canada. The day we arrived we were too tired to explore anything but did manage to get ourselves to the roof top of this hotel...it was a somewhat windy night and one of the wait staff kindly wrapped me in a pashima that the hotel keeps for such evenings and proceeded to serve me my drink(s)....the view is breathtaking....and the sounds of the Blue Mosque calling their worshippers to sun down is something i will never forget...

An exellent choice for a first-time visitor in Istanbul. Hotel Adamar is few steps away from major sights as Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Basilica Cisterne. And in walking distance of Grand Bazaar, the spice bazaar and the Galata bridge.
It must have the best roof top terrace in Istanbul. Stunning views!! Nice place to rest sore feet after sight-seeing all day.
The staff were very nice and helpful on our requests. We were re-located the first night due to over booking. The other hotel was supposed to be 4-star but far from the same standard so we got one of the best rooms at Adamar. The hotel arranged for the transfer and we got transfer from/to airport for free. The room and bath were clean. The breakfast was good. We did not try the restaurant for dinner since the nearby streets have a lot of nice restaurants.
Recommended - we would definitely go back!

Room Tip: Rooms 402 and 502 are spacious rooms with a view of the Bosphorus and enough space for two chairs. R...
