....that's Zuma-ish for amazing.
Through the chaos of last night's protests, we braved a journey to the internationally infamous and aptly named Zuma. Our destination, an epitome of peace, literally.
The restaurant is set in a tranquil location, juxtaposed to the Bosphorus (perfect for boat drop offs) and offers a large outdoor seating area for enchanting alfresco dining. Zuma's team were instantly charming and accommodating, creating an immediately relaxed ambience. A perfect starter.
The drinks menu was varied and bar staff accommodated my "off the menu" White Russian request without hesitation. Nice. The food menu was extensive and palatally exciting; for those not so enthused by miso stocks and edamame snacks, the lamb cutlets and black cod were exceptional.
When late evening temperatures fell, staff rallied blankets and cranked up outdoors heaters..they really have thought of everything.
Was this Turkish delight really worth the return journey tear gassing? Apparently so...tell everyone and make the journey.
