Stayed here as part of Sammy's tours.
The rooms were dirty - hair on sheets, in desperate need of a hoover.... our toilet broke on the first night and we could not move rooms... having to listen to it drip all night, despite there being many vacant rooms.
The hotel insisted on keeping our passports for one night, and would not give them back on request.
The male staff on reception were extremely rude - the incident the previous reviewer mentioned was awful - the staff yelling and screaming, not even letting the female use the toilet, despite having chronic food poisoning and just off the drip!
Breakfast was a sham - asking for money even tho it was included. no bread etc, until after tour had to leave. no coffee.
And the roof terrace - staff would not let guests go up there.
The last night we stayed there was a 'gang' fight out the front of the hotel - youths with knives. There were no pubs/ places to get a drink in walking distance, tho there were a few fantastic kebab stores. I went out at 9pm (female) and was one of the only females on the street.
Overall, the hotel was awful. It was part of a tour with Sammys - if Sammy sends you there - complain and change immediately. We were part of the ANZAC tour.
