“Best Point Hotel helped to make our first visit to Istanbul unforgettable!!”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

We highly recommend the Best Point. The owner, Fatih, and his staff made us feel so welcome. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We loved having their delicious breakfast on the rooftop with a breathtaking view of the Marmara Sea. We loved the rooftop so much, one night Fatih ordered takeout for us, and we ate dinner watching the sun set from the rooftop terrace!! Rooms were clean, location was so close to many of the most popular tourist sites, and the price was extremely reasonable. We would definitely stay at the Best Point again!

Don’t be lazy and bring your breakfast up stairs to the roof, you won’t be sorry that in the morning you went a few extra set of stairs, the view is breathtaking and probably one the key points to this place…. The sea of rooftop and the actual sea open to you sleepy eyes, fresh breeze with abundance of sunlight and sounds of the old city, if you are lucky that day then you can eat under sound of morning prayers. Actually the sound of very first one at 5am will wake you up in probably every room of this little establishment and if you are a light sleeper you might want to use earplugs unless you think it will put you deeper into the morning sleep as it sounds like it in ancient fairytales. Breakfast itself is very fresh and tasty maybe it doesn’t present a large quantity of things you might expect but everything looks and taste simply good. They offer freshly press juice for extra charge, this can be skipped as the same juice cots ¼ of the price just a few steps outside the hotel. Rooms are newly decorated and fixed; of course they are tiny but furnished in the way that doesn’t feel too claustrophobic for such a small place. Our first floor room had even little table- sitting area outside just for this room but I wouldn’t recommend it simple because people were walking back and force in the lobby and due to thin walls ever thing was heard and an afternoon nap was impossible. Stuff is friendly and not over pushy for trips or services. They called for a taxi for us to the airport but somehow when we got their drive tried to ask 2x as much as we paid to get to the place 3days before and insisted that hotel people told him it was the price… well we didn’t pay it.
History just a few steps away, also walking distance to little Bazaar and actually you can walk to the big bazaar and spice bazaar from the hotel. Close to lots of restaurant and other points of interest.

I have visited Istanbul twice and both times stayed at Best Point; I would stay nowhere else. The location, right in Sultanahmet, cannot be beat. The staff is incredibly welcoming, helpful and thoughtful, from the minute you check in. When the manager, Fatih, realized my mom had some mobility problems in our room, he upgraded us to a suite, at no extra charge. The rooms and hotel are very clean with a nice, modern bathroom. The breakfast buffet is very good, made with tender loving care by the cook. It is THE place to stay in Istanbul.

The Best Point Hotel had the best staff of all hotels I stayed in during our trip to Turkey. Their English was impeccable and they were very helpful when it came to questions and needs. It is located on a quiet street and is steps away from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. The room was clean and a good size for Istanbul. Our rate also included breakfast and wifi. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I am in this hotel now. So nice, quite and clean. The triple room is wide and enough for our 4 years old daughter to play. Bath is combined, Turkish and modern. Excellent hospitality and free Turkish tea and cafe and sweets. Nice view terrace while having breakfast. All the staff members are soooo kind and nice. Location is more than excellent, in the center of old city and historical places. We will come back in this hotel for our next visit to Istanbul.
Just one thing, the bed cover (sharshaf) is short for tall people like me but it OK :-)

It doesn't get better than this!! - We were apprehensive, it was our first visit to Turkey, it was our honeymoon, we were unsure about the hotel....the reviews were great...we decided to give it a shot! Guess who came out on top?? Best Point all the way.....from Fatih's management skills and friendly suggestions to Turkan's breakfast delights, to Kismet's awesome service and of course the eversmiling Nusret & Gurkan...Best Point just got better with each day! The room was very clean, had all the amenities and comfort as had been promised and was priced just right. It is also located at just the right place, away from the hullabaloo of the evening crowd , yet almost right next to arguably the two most important icons of Turkey. The views from the terrace, night and day, are an icing on the cake! We can't wait to head back :)... Abhishek & Anindita.

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor and the rooms were just right.
