I have stayed at this hotel several times and in fairness it has always been fine. This time however I'd booked a family room online as I was traveling with my wife, 2 yr old daughter and my mother. It was my birthday and was looking forward to the break. When we arrived the hotel it looked as though a bomb had dropped! They were doing some upgrades and the restaurant/breakfast room and reception area was in the process of being gutted so there was a lot of noise, mess and dust. They had recently installed a new lift (old one was noisy) but out of the 3 days stay it probably only worked half of the time! We were on the fifth floor (fully booked so no more rooms) and had to climb with a pushchair and 2 yo each time. Sometimes I couldn't get to the room due to my dodgy knee. Other problems included; toilet didn't flush (although fixed on request), room safe didn't work, bedside reading lights out of order, vanity mirror light out of order, radiator couldn't turn off (very hot!), No omelets left by 9am (breakfast finishes at 10am), limited drinks in "nescafe" machine, poor wifi signal etc etc.
On checking out I asked for a discount due to the problems I had only to be told "NO, because you booked with Booking.com" !!! Best Nobel has lost my custom for sure!

Our two stays at Istanbul’s Best Noble Hotel in 2013 were both happy ones in every way. The hotel’s location could not be more central and its moderate prices represent excellent value for money.

The location is as convenient as it gets, close to shops, restaurants, public transport and the beautiful Bosphorous.

Upon arrival on our first of the two stays, we were greeted most pleasantly and relieved of our luggage by a very personable young man who was genuinely welcoming. He advised that our room was currently being serviced as the previous guests had departed slightly late but he directed us to a comfortable seating area and arranged for some Turkish tea and biscuits to be brought to us while we were waiting. This introduction to Turkish hospitality impressed us very much and by the time we had finished our cup of tea – much appreciated after a journey – our room was ready. By the time we reached it, our luggage had already been left inside!

On our second visit, a couple of weeks later, the manager Mr. Erhan Uygun and his staff remembered us and greeted us warmly and genuinely, as one greets old friends.
Being family run as it is, the atmosphere is especially homely and our hosts and their very helpful staff were never too busy to provide any information one needed. A bus and boat tour we booked through reception was excellent, and indicative of the hotel’s interest in recommending only reputable companies for their guests’ sightseeing requirements.

The buffet breakfast was sumptuous, offering a wide variety of cereals, fresh fruit juices, yogurts, boiled eggs, cheese, fish, fruit, melon and numerous other delicacies - with a selection of breads and pastries and hot drinks - teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Every taste was carefully thought out and the staff constantly replenish the supplies before it becomes necessary.

Our quad bedroom on each occasion (we had a different room on each visit) was most comfortable and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms contain a nice sized TV on which we were able to watch a variety of interesting channels. And there is wi-fi too! Our wake-up calls always came through on time to the minute. This is a hotel which is safe and reliable in every respect and we would recommend the Best Noble in the strongest possible way. In fact we have already booked to stay there once again later this year. Our most sincere thanks go to all at the Best Noble Hotel!

Best Nobel Hotel is an ideal hotel for independent travellers or for couples. It is not advisable for family with small kids as the rooms are quite small. The Hotel is strategically located to all the main attractions like Hagia Sofia Museum, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, Gulhane Park, Grand Bazaar (at a walking distance), Egyptian Spice market (at a walking distance), Restaurants for local delights, Souvenirs and Bags outlets etc. You will not regret staying in the locality of Sirkeci. Staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful too. The buffet is ok... but you should be prepared to eat the same stuff every morning. This hotel is value for money and i would suggest any traveller to write in to the hotel directly to get a good price. Plan your excursions carefully and do a survey on the various quotes offered as they are all negotiable. Have fun!!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are very small and this hotel is ideal for couples or solo travellers.

The hotel is located in a slightly dodgy alley. But it's location is conveniently located next to shops and is close to Topkapı Palace.

The breakfast was decent. With a selection of hot and cold food. The room size was okay too, we stayed in a room with three single beds. There's a lift, so no huffing and puffing up the stairs.

The only thing I would whinge about is the WiFi. On our first night there, the WiFi was great. But during the remaining nights, the WiFi stuffed up. We asked the reception about the issue and we were told is was a "general problem".

I have now stayed twice at the BEST NOBEL HOTEL.This is the best hotel in Istanbul. If you want real Turkish country house atmosphere, charming staff, the pleasure of an honesty bar, log fires, comfortable sofas, fabulous beds and a pretty breakfast room with good Turkish breakfasts - this is the hotel for you. I have used it regularly for over 3 years now and every time I return it is with a sense of anticipation.
