Topaz is a great restaurant to go. Specially the Bosperouse view is amazing you can watch for hours. The food was great with the matching wines. Don't miss the saffron -flavored seafood soup and the Oven - baked duck they were delicious. The staff is friendly and i liked the ambiance. Great place to celebrate an occasion and its very romantic.

Dinner at Topaz was our final evening in Istanbul. The view of the Bosphorus with its lights and ships and a lighted mosque nearby was perfect. The tasting menu highlighted exceptional Turkish dishes and was interesting and delicious. our server was warm and friendly without being intrusive. A lovely evening and a nice memory with which to leave. Silverjim

Topaz came highly recommended by our hotel (Rixos Pera) concierge as the "best restaurant in Istanbul". While the view was incredible, the service and food were somewhat disappointing especially given the prices! I had a lobster salad (overcooked) and beef rib (no seasoning) with undercooked risotto. We had a nice bottle of Turkish sauvignon blanc.

We heard many stories about Topaz so we went there to check it out ourselves. The pace has a nice view over the Boporus and the beginning of Besiktas and offers high quality Turkish food. we tried a tasting menu with matching wines and the food was excellent. 9 dishes were served with matching wines. This is a great place to go to if you have something to celebrate or for a romantic dinner.

I believe this is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Istanbul. The clientele was very international, and there was a large group business dinner near us. While the food was quite tasty, it wasn't as mind blowing as I thught it would be. Service was good, but not that friendly - I expected a little better. Also, try to get a table in the middle of the room or right next to the window. We were seated on the side with a view of an alley next to us and not the best view of the Bosphorus on the other side. I'd probably try other high-end restaurants in Istanbul before coming back here.
