Have been there several times. Few years ago it was Joe Smoker's Pub. Place and menu are same as previous Pub had it. It is very close to Radisson and Intercontinental hotels (not sure if Intercontinental still have this badge).
They have good house brewed beer. Food is quite good. Steak is not burned off. I usually have some meat and Greek salad. They charge extra for bread. Prices are high for Tashkent. A steak, salad and bear is around 60.000 Sums. Service is great and they have a menu in English also. There is a live music on terrace...well guy with sax is walking around. It makes a friendly atmosphere. A water pipe is also part of menu. Depending on what they fill in, price is 10.000 sums and up. If you are in neighborhood and have no other ideas, you will get a nice diner here.

I wandered down from the International Hotel last night and had a very good local brew beer. Unfiltered, light, very tasty. the barman was chatty and friendly, as a lonely business traveller, this makes a big difference.

I watched the food being carried past me so I decided to stay for dinner and I'm glad I did. The Chester steak is pieces of fillet cooked in paprika, pepper (capsicum) and onions served on a hot skillet. Very tasty and generous, I was totally satisfied. I wandered down again tonight and tried lamb chops which were also tender and very tasty, this time with stewed cabbage and mash with cheese. All really good, served with a friendly and helpful smile. I like the atmosphere and décor too, it's nice sitting outside and far enough from the road so it's not too unpleasant.

The live saxophonist is a little bit cheesy but I think I've been unlucky to catch him both nights. Gangnam Style on the sax - really?! Anyway.. I'd recommend this place and I might pay it a third visit since I'm here for a week.

I went to Chester's last week in Tashkent. They have a very nice outdoor eating area that spills onto the sidewalk of Amur Temir avenue. The beer that they brew themselves is good, not great, and the food is is not great, consistent with most English pubs and a bit more cosmopolitan and Uzbek than a traditional English pub. Outdoor tables are great in summer.....beer is good.....food is so-so.
