Me and my husband stayed in this hotel for 7 nights, the location was amazing. Basically you are in the heart of Tashkent and we were trilled with surroundings. Staff were very helpful and instant. But were very disappointed with the breakfast, nothing much to eat because it was an Indian cousine. The management of the hotel is Uzbeks but the owner is Indian, go figure.

Room Tip: Do not pay for a breakfast, there are many nice places around.

The Bumi in its new avataar Le Grande Plaza does Tashkent proud. Rooms are large and well appointed but Euroean standards. Food is pretty decent, and service orientation as good. The lack of tourist support or information that stuns you when you arrive at the Tashkent airport makes the hand holding at Le Grande an oasis in a desert.

Stayed here two weeks ago, The rooms really dated and the facilities have seen better days. We were given a room with absolutely no view. The breakfast was adequate but unfortunately repetitive, the staff tries hard to provide for every need but the efficiency cannot really make up for the need to renovate and update this hotel. Seems to be a favored hotel by Indian men- one middle-aged Indian man I caught picking through the salad greens with his bare hands during breakfast. Disgusting.

A plus side for this hotel is that there's quite a few nice buildings nearby (like The Forum), and some parks. Be careful at walking at night, there's a few open manholes on the sidewalks close to the hotel. There's a money changer at the hotel but the rate is poor and it takes two people just to exchange 100 USD.

I would like to like this hotel for their staff but I just wish the management invest in improving the facilities.

Room Tip: Try asking for a room on the highest floor if only to get a better view if Tashkent.

Cool hotel to stay with.....Rooms are bit small but not that bad to be in for a few days..
A better breakfast would have been a plus to the hotel.
Location is pretty cool with all access....
Would recommend people to stay in the hotel

Room Tip: 7th Floor & 8th Floor is a better choice...

Stayed 4 nights from 18 to 21 Sept 2012. The hotel is in the heart of the city, very close to historical monuments, new architectures & market area. In front of the hotel there is a beutiful well mantained park. The people at reception are very cooperative & are very prompt in response. Rooms are spacious & well furnished. They serve adequate break fast including indian dishes. "Raaj Kapoor" the in house indian restautant has got many vairities if Indian food in their menu. Wifi is free but didnt work inside the rooms. Over all this hotel is value for money.

Room Tip: Higher floors are newly constructed, having large rooms with modern furnitures & fixtures.
