My friend and I stayed in this hotel on our last night in Sri Lanka as a treat.
We arrived early but that was fine as we just went and sunbathed by the pool. Then our "personal butler" Arrun showed us to our room which was excellent - the room was huge and had a jacuzzi and double sunbed on the balcony and a massive bath at the end of the bed! The setting was lovely an old colonial house which as been refurbished.
We went to the bar in the evening and sat outside and had dinner which was fine - the pudding was amazing!
Must say I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend.

"Hello Madam, Hello Sir - I am Arun and I am your personal butler" That was how our stay started at the awesome Casa Colombo, where it seems nothing is too much trouble. Hidden away in a beautifully restored mansion this hotel which has only 12 suites is a tranquil haven away from the noise, hustle and bustle of Colombo.

Our room was magnificent with a loft area with lounge, business and TV viewing area and the main bathroom with shower, twin basins etc... But each suite is very different and it just makes you want to come back and try them all.

There are so many little treats about staying here from the lovely pool and comfy pool beds, the stylish cocktail bar, to the delicious restaurant each a little special and the hotel itself is beautifully designed and finished.

There was definitely something going on during our stay. We felt perhaps the hotel was in the process of changing hands as the staff appeared to be preoccupied with something else. Nevertheless a 'different' experience. We have never been in a hotel room with a bathtub next to the bed, nor a loo in the living room! A quaint old colonial mansion set off the main Galle Road leading into the centre of town. Original high ceilings, mosaic tiled floors and a wooden staircase. That's where it ended. Once you step into a room you are transported into what I would imagine would be a suite on board the Starship Enterprise designed by Andy Warhol. Food was pretty decent and fairly priced from a limited menu and the bar outside in the garden totally out of context but perhaps that was in keeping with the theme. Good barman, when you could catch him, who made great Caipirinhas as a special order. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Worth the experience for a couple of days.

Room Tip: Not on the ground floor as this can be a bit noisy.

Place is unique wish it was in good location and more spacious, I recommend for any one this place to try.very good atmosphere for quite dining.
Great architecture of century year old with novelty touch.food is based on mix of Sri Lankan speciality more of experimented cuisine.but good taste me and my family liked it very much.

On arrival you are appointed a 'butler' - from start to finish Kumara was superb. He organised dinner reservation, taxi to airport and gave us lots of sightseeing ideas. The Casa Kick cocktail, yum. Breakfast excellent too. Our suite at the front was a little noisy but added to the experience. Wonderful, wonderful boutique hotel. Loved the Saddhu mural in the restaurant. All good!!!

Stayed here at the end of a two week trip through Sri Lanka and what a way to end the holiday. Beautiful building, great staff and good location. Galle Face is close by as is the Dutch hospital if you want to get out but can easily just chill here. Food isn't expensive and has a good selection. Overall just a great place.

I stayed here for one night at the end of a two week holiday with friends. On arrival we were introduced to Arun, who would look after us. The house looked beautiful, and was an old colonial home, which had been renovated. My room was at the front of the house, and had a sitting room and a large bedroom. The bedroom had a large bed, with a shower cubicle and a toilet cubicle in the room, and a set of double doors which had a sink in the window, very unique. The sitting room had a desk, couch, fridge and TV. I have to be honest and say that I never got the TV to work, since it was far too complicated, and I usually have no problem with gadgets, but this I could not figure, out, something to do with a mouse to get the TV to work, but I was only there one night, so it didn't matter, any longer it would have annoyed me.
There were two lots of dressing gowns in the room, a warmer one and a light one, also everything you could imagine, from a printer for computers, to first aid kit, but strangely no body lotion, odd!
The restaurant was very good with good food, at a reasonable price, the bar does happy hour 5.30 to 7.30 with 50% off.
The pool area was also very nice, but couldn't really see attraction of pink pool, it was just a nice pool, which had pink tiles.
I thought this hotel was lovely, very quirky, and different, which I loved, but I have to add, one of my friends, hated it. She thought the rooms were too gimiky, and was upset by the fact there were no windows with views, and actually stated she felt like she was in a cell, because of all the concrete, and no windows, but this was her view, not mine, I loved the difference of the rooms, and thought it was wonderful.
The room I had, because it was at the front of the house, was noisy in the morning, due to traffic along the very busy Galle Road, but I had ear plugs, so wasn't too bad.
I would definately stay again, as I thought the individuality was fantastic, and the service was fabulous.

Room Tip: A room at the back of the house would be quieter
